Have to admit I'm interested now

Okay you've returned but from where
|
# ? Nov 14, 2017 23:25 |

That is quite the moment. "YES! FINALLY I can see Klingon Jesus! ...wait you can see him too? OH poo poo."
|
# ? Nov 14, 2017 23:25 |
|
Oh poo poo Worf's the only one not kneeling for him

Worf's relatable skepticism

# ? Nov 14, 2017 23:27 |

He wants to become leader of the Klingon empire huh And things just went from zero to bat'leh in five seconds

Worf's doing pretty good, what happens to a Klingon who kills Jesus

Did he just talk his way out of losing an honor duel

|
# ? Nov 14, 2017 23:38 |

Wait a second how the gently caress did Kahless know about that vision Worf had
|

Whoa...

Episode over. That was such a good exploration of the nature of faith. It can still exist in Trek's naturalist humanism.

But seriously how did he know about that vision

I really dig Rightful Heir, but it's kinda forgotten when people talk about that season. The guy playing Kahless is one of my favorite Klingon guest stars, right up there with Gowron and Martok (who you won't see unless you watch DS9, which you should). There was a Kahless novel written in the late 90's/early 00's and that actor came back to narrate the audiobook. I listened to that tape until it warped itself into oblivion. He was also the narrator of the 90's Outer Limits. Big Mean Jerk fucked around with this message at 01:35 on Nov 15, 2017 |

And for all that people ballyhoo about Worf's klingabooism, he has a very practical and even political outlook on the whole situation here without succumbing to cynicism or losing his faith. It's an evolutionary turn Worf, a crucible that tests and strengthens his Klingon character.

Badda-Bing Badda-Bing For an absolutely pointless breather episode whose only narrative function is to be that breather, this one's a lot of fun. The comic chemistry of the DS9 cast is on full display here and why, despite my frequent complaints about certain aspects of many characters, I think they're rock solid as a group and easily my favorite overall cast of any Star Trek series. It's good, silly fun that knows it's silly, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Each one of them seems to be competing for Qurikiest Podcast Ever, and I never get the skip-a-bunch feature on my player to skip them and not a chunk of the Drunk Shimoda / Next Time bits in the process. I just started listening to this and i'm playing catch up in season 2 right now, but good lord the plugs for that celebrity gossip podcast are grating.
