That’s absolutely incredible. That video starts as weird as it can get and ends weirder.

I hyped myself way the gently caress up because only love is so good.

And somehow everything they release is getting me more and more hyped up. That kick over once they start spitting was unbelievably perfect.

Both songs they released are really really fantastic, but I also hope there’s some stuff like night city aliens on the album too. That song is so good.

I don’t think I’ll ever forgive myself for missing them when they played St Vitus on their only love tour. Wasn’t really into them yet as I hadn’t given only love a full listen. I had the chance to go too.

I may sound like an old man saying this but I listened to it yesterday and found the noisiness to be a barrier to my enjoyment of it :( Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some noise rock and I love HEALTH, for example. It just felt like, in this case, I would have enjoyed it a lot more had it not been so noisy. I could hear some songs I probably would've liked underneath the noise.

Maybe it was just some part of the studio process? Seeing them live would probably change how I felt about this material. Or maybe I just need to listen to it again. I'm watching that video for An Iteration and I like the way that one sounds.

I found I could hear plenty underneath on my AirPod pros. Maybe it’s listening setup?

Anyone have a bead on where I can find some old punk albums online from the group The Nihilistics?

There’s some on Apple Music but definitely not everything, and it’s gotten me back into a groove.

Saw them live once in 2003(?) opening for the only/dez/ramone misfits and the vocalist, among other things, cut the head off a large osama bin Ladin puppet (complete with fake blood) and pulled his cock out on stage. There was also a large group of children at this show for some reason who couldn’t have been older than like 13.

This was a very good show.

They did nearly half the show from the crowd/pit with corded mics. Jonni was like running around and grabbing peoples faces and poo poo.

First show in about 6 months, so excited for tunes!

Went to go see Alkaline Trio on tour at the House of Blues! Coheed are their opener but they were at ComicCon this weekend so they flew Thick down from Brooklyn. It’s been probably a decade since I saw some real grindy feminist punks kick rear end but this set was great and they were really not shy about loving with the audience. The songs were about stuff like abortion and the lyrics to one song were just “YOU LOOK SO PRETTY WHEN YOU SMILE” *insane blast beats & breakdown* YOU SHOULD SMILE MORE SO YOU DONT LOOK LIKE A BITCH!!”

Trio was great, musically, but the show was very weird. Three songs I’d never heard and instantly forgot and then basically the 10 songs I went there for them to play, so I left happy, but Matt was like “we’re all super out of it and cranky so this show is gonna be weird” and then they played every song perfectly and by the end Matt & Dan were like “this is best set we’ve played all tour, we’re just goofing around and having fun, I’m having the time of my life.”

Absolute great energy from the band, but the audience was PACKED with waste-oid parents and their kids, I was like one step back from the stage and had 9-10 year olds on either side of me. They finally cleared out when some moshing started but drat it’s really hard to headbang when a munchkin in a fedora is next to you

Never heard of thick, they are loving excellent.

I’m a tiny bit obsessed with riot girl style groups.

The Distillers need to release the album they announced like 3 loving years ago.

I haven’t seen Alkaline trio in like 10 years, but they were always great.

So today I found out it seems like nazi groups have realized that skinheads aren’t generally welcome, and they’ve moved to the new term “boot boy”.

Just so you can keep fascist rear end poo poo outta your playlists if you’re so inclined. On an Apple Music shuffle some dumb rear end bad with questionable lyrics came up called “conservative military image” and I had to look em up and make sure so I could blast it from the orbit of my music. Very first site is about how the skinhead scene is growing and gaining traction.

It’s kinda an it depends?

For most shows, the closer you get to the physical start time of the show the lower the prices go. Buying minutes before doors/start time will get you the best price 90% of the time, often even less than face cause people don’t wanna risk losing the full money.

The exception is a show that’s going to sell out of resale tickets. Those prices don’t ever go down.

And just extremely happy for them.

Absolute sweet hearts, and i agree, close to a religious experience when i finally got to see them in England in... 2018 (or was it 19?). Music evolved a lot, but imo got better with every release.

Anyway new song is sensational too

That is so good.

They’ve been calling themselves the greatest band in the world for a long time. And I feel like as they release new music every couple of years they push themselves closer and closer to that reality.

I find them to be as close to music’s version of high quality art house film as can be. There’s really no other group like them.

They better do more headline touring on this album. I don’t want to see them in a stadium with QOTSA.
