His point was that they are alike in that they win in a way different from how the main character does that makes them really fun to watch.

I always secretly hoped that the end of the manga would be Hiruma actually using his guns to mow down the other team.

Hahaha it looks like the Gate from Full Metal Alchemist is trying to grab Woli. Also that little panel of Ippo's fist two inches from Woli's face is the most god drat beautiful thing.

I'm looking forward to this because I enjoy Itagaki entering the Matrix more than Ippo being a punching bag.

Ippo vs Sawamura was rad as hell and definitely up there with the best fights.

I like Itagaki's superpowers the best. The only way to make him better would be if he made more puns while phasing through time and space. But then I always liked playing the fastest character in fighting/action games. EDIT: After reading Prince of Tennis this is so tame by comparison that I just can't be bothered by it. My only problem with the Woli fight was how long it dragged on. Sindai fucked around with this message at 19:31 on Oct 17, 2010 |

That was pretty much the best fight in RK (except for the one just after it). This fight in HnI is great too.

All I could think about while reading those was how infuriated this thread was going to be. Especially that he still beat Ippo's time, which almost no one thought was going to happen.

My favorite part of the manga was Ippo tricking Sawaura with the dempsey and putting his fist through his skull. The Hawk fight is second place.

I love Tough. It's like a slightly more realistic Baki but without the somewhat unsettling art. My favorite part of the current arc is that it's not enough that that guy was just raised by monkeys, oh no. He also needs chameleon eyes for no apparent reason. I like Itagaki because I like fast characters in fighting games. It strikes me as all just part of following in Ippo's footsteps. His first and only loss was fighting for the Japanese title for the first time. Now Itagaki need never lose again. Sindai fucked around with this message at 05:30 on Aug 24, 2013 |

While it's very predictable so far I'm still enjoying this. Mostly though I wonder how much longer Morikawa plans to keep it going. It feels like it could end at any moment or be only halfway.

I think Morikawa's solution to working on a weekly manga for 20 years without dying is occasionally doing half or third length chapters like how Oda takes weeks off now.
