d8 posted:With good quality nip, just a little bit is a sufficient dose. About a teaspoonful will usually do the trick. Also, cats do not need to eat nip to get off, since they get their fun via olfactory input. I have a 18 year old cat that LOVES Montana catnip and only Montana catnip. Any other and she turns her nose up at it.

OatmealRaisin posted:So, one of my kittens has a mild gum infection involved with her baby teeth falling out. The vet gave me some antibiotic drops but by God does little Izzy HATE taking her medicine. Anyone have any tips for getting the drops into her? Use the Cat Burrito. It keeps all the kitty sharp bits out of you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4WBN53obFE

JayJay posted:Help! I live in Florida and I guess its that time, cause I have ants all around my cats food and litter. I've never had them before. She's 6.5 months so I've been free-feeding her to get her weight up, but now im not sure what to do. Im replacing the litter daily, using vinegar/water to clean around, which really annoys my cat. Cleaned my whole kitchen up and put her food in a bowl in the middle of vinegar/water in a pan to keep off the ants. Does anyone know of any kind of cat-friendly ant killer? I doubt it exists. My cat is just going crazy right now meowing and running around in laps. You can use one or a few of these. http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Ants-Naturally

Dr. Lenin posted:My cat doesn't give two shits about catnip. Is she broken / a dog? What alternatives, if any, can I get to make my cat enjoy being high? How old is your cat? Some cats don't start enjoying the nip tell they pass kitten hood. And my sisters cat didn't enjoy any other nip then forums member D8 (some say he has the best nip this side of the equator.). He has a shop in SA-Mart if you want to check it out.

Dr. Lenin posted:~4 years old. I'll check out his shop, thanks! Is it true that honeysuckle is also good to use? Yeah by 4 most cats are well into enjoying the nip. As far as honeysuckle goes I hadn't heard anything about it affecting cats before so I have no personal experience with it, I can't say one way or another. but here is a FAQ on it. http://www.catniptoys.com/pages/Honeysuckle-FAQ.html . And Sorry the forums members name is dee eight. I guess he has changed his forums name again. And good luck getting your kitty wrecked.
