Wasn't this all when Shawn had a gently caress ton of influence backstage, though? I imagine a lot of the concept of getting the belt on him was simply Shawn whispering in Vince's ear the whole time.

Probably part that and the fact i don't think vince at the time wanted HBK to then walk out a couple of months later.

Ignoring hindsight I can see why vince would be more intrested in keeping shawn happy at that point than bret.

I want to say WWE have already acknowledged him a few times, but I can't cite specifics.

That enclopedia of wrestling had him mentioned. But I don't blame wwe for not mentioning or promoting him he would be a media shitstorm just cause the media love to tear down wwe and wrestling.

King Booker was an amazing end for his wwe run although i'd love for him to come back at the rumble even if its for one night.

DDP debut was the best because the crowd was going nuts and jr was trying to sell us on ddp being a heel and a sicko.

DDP apparently got shafted as he couldn't sell a comeback as a heel apparently at least thats what lance storm said on his last shoot interview.

TNA in 2005 and part of 2006 was considered great. Some of 2006 is an afterglow affect of the greatness of 2005. In September 2006 Russo came back, gutted the X Division and stunk up the show with bad booking, so 2007 and 2008 are considered atrocities for the most part.

I remember renting PPV's from Blockbuster when i was about 6/7 so that would mean i started watching around 1990. I went to a house show (free tickets through a friend) in 1994. Wasn't great looking back but I got to see Bret hart and Hakushi have a very good match. Main Event was Karma vs Undertaker. So it might have been 1995? It was after the urn had been melted and Karma was wearing it as a chain. I got regualr access to WWE in 1998 (as in i got sky tv) and here we are now.
