This thread is almost 12 years old lol I watched the "reboot" Nitro in the OP and holy poo poo yeah that was really bad. I remember seeing that show when it aired but I guarantee I flipped channels back and forth between Nitro and Raw a bunch. Did Russo and Bischoff seriously not understand or care that people want clean finishes to matches and not run-ins and interference in every single one? Like I get what they're trying to do. It's a way to further storylines without promos but it just hurt the overall product so much, in addition to all the other crazy poo poo they were doing like making shoot references that only the minority internet smark crowd understood.

I don't have anything against David Arquette and he's since trained up to be an actual wrestler but at the time it was just like "OK the WCW title is worthless now". And then sometime after that stupid incident Russo somehow made it even worse by putting the title on himself. He very clearly did not value titles at all and he was very clearly trying to push that idea onto the fans and obviously nobody bought it. He never understood the business from the get-go. He knew edgy teen shock value poo poo and that's what got him noticed but after that all he knew was ramping things up until it jumped the shark and then he'd just keep doing the same thing without ever learning anything.

Sid got into a fight with Arn Anderson at a hotel. The report I read said both guys had weapons, Arn stabbed Sid with scissors first, then Sid managed to take them away and stabbed Arn with them. Both guys ended up in the hospital but Arn's left arm had permanent tendon/ligament damage which is why if you've seen Arn since then he hasn't had full use of his left arm. Sid basically ended Arn's career and I don't even remember what the original verbal argument was about.

I think it was Abdullah the Butcher that Foley talked about in one of his early books where Foley and his wife and Abdullah drove like 3 hours to a show and Abdullah was so polite around women that he later admitted to Foley that he held in a fart the entire car trip
