New Brodequin EP is only two songs but they both slap, I recommend.

I bought the CD from Unmatched Brutality and it's the coolest poo poo ever. Getting a little thank you on a post-it note gets me so giddy and the packaging is top notch.

Also gently caress nazis.

Excellent mid-paced death metal that exudes an incredibly dark aura. As mentioned in the bandcamp link it's definitely for fans of Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, and Immolation:

followed everyones advice and started listening to Nile. Holy poo poo this is absolutely amazing. Can't believe I was missing out on these guys for so long. Just absolutely kickass riffs and tone and the Egyptian themed lyrics are wicked cool, nice break from the usual DM fare.

If you really dig the Egyptian aspect of the music I highly recommend you check out Karl Sanders solo work like "Saurian Meditation". It's just him dialing up all those aspects to 11.

I really liked the 2 song EP they put out a while ago and pre-ordered the CD of this and was kind of disappointed. Gonna give it a few more tries and see if it grows on me.

part of why i love folk metal is just how loving stupid and silly the shows are. everyone is just goofing around and having a great time

I have a very poor sense of smell but the folk metal show I went to years ago easily had the worst stench of any live event I've ever been to, and that's saying a lot.

Kill is definitely my favorite CC album. But I like that kind of unbridled aggression and speed while a lot of people like more stompy riffs

I actually see "Kill" and "Violence Unimagined" as very similar due to them being albums that revitalized them after switching up guitarists as before both of these points CC was becoming a bit stale to me.

Yeah, "Torture" is definitely the exception as it kicks rear end from front to back. Everything other than that between "Kill" and "Violence Unimagined" are no where near mandatory listening though.
