It's not like a top 40 review podcast, that would be terrible. It's two people trying to keep up with the charts, one of whom is one of the weirdest individuals to ever walk the earth

Seriously, I think the only job Howard could ever get is as a comedian. Dude is so strange I wouldn't want him doing anything else but sharing his bizarre worldview.

He is also pretty shy. I mean he is afraid of us laughing at him for his cake bug encounters. He just wants enough time to make cakes.

I've laughed maybe twice in the 11 episodes I've seen. I don't know if it's the shortened runtime, lack of improv, or the fact that depicting the absurdities they love so much is a very different game in a visual medium, but the TV show just doesn't work for me (and I LOVE the podcast.)

It's also not helped by the fact that another anarchic fake talk show in The Eric Andre Show premiered around the same time and it's the funniest thing in years. Seriously, watch that show.

I love the Eric Andre show, but comedy bang bang is almost nothing like that show in the slightest. The only similarity is that it's an absurd fake talk show. Other than that there are really no similarities.

Actually I really like cbb, i loved mr show and I like paul f tompkins podcast and stand up career, but I dont understand why fans of this podcast get so into the Cake boss character. I think its one of the least funny things on the entire show especially out of the recurring characters. Its trying too hard with the lisp and all the wacky conceits about cake lore, it just reminds me too much of every goofy bad improv troupe where they are just "yes, and"-ing each other into some impossibly convoluted "random" scenario while they look at each other and try not to crack up over how silly theyre being. It just seems so low effort for PFT when he can be way funnier (i thought the harrow Murderer Heaven character from the recent episode was way funnier than any cake boss thing) and when the other recurring guests like Adomian and andy daly come up with character ideas that are really funny out of the gate without needing 100 episodes of background story before it builds to something funny

tldr its possible to like CBB and not like cake boss. maybe

Literally the entire point of the show is improv and yes and-ing. Like from the very beginning. Sure they might break away from that sometime, but like 98 percent of the show is comedians improving with each other.

I have to admit, I never really liked the Halloween specials. I don't think I've ever finished one. Also I think Brett Gelman is really funny but I've never liked his CBB appearances. And I think Jon Daly is hit or miss.

Also, while I'm at it, I'm getting tired of James Admoian's and PFT's characters, with a couple exceptions - Tom Leykis will probably never stop being funny, and Gilly has kept Garry Marshall from getting stale I think. Also I've never really thought Neil Campbell was very funny.

Hi I'm the worst CBB fan.

Except I Brain and his story recounting the tragic event of his banning are two of the funniest things I have ever heard.

It was weird when he asked Scott if he was a rich kid, but everyone just moved on, which makes me think it was less awkward for the people in the room than it sounded to us listeners.

I think it's because he was joking and not seriously asking him in any actual confrontational way.
