I think it was mentioned earlier, but the one with Jon Benjamin playing a Smirnoff Ice representative is probably the one I've relistened to the most, it's seriously hilarious. It's linked on the Best Show Gems page

Listening to the Best Show Gem "Danny Phipps from Glass Houses, America's Number One Billy Joel Tribute Band", it's funny hearing Jon Benjamin calling in to a Wurster call and basically doing his Jason-from-Home-Movies voice.

The Smirnoff Ice call is one I've used sort of as a gateway since it's one of the most accessible ones, but it's sort of problematic in that people go "yeah, that was great" but Wurster's (which I love, of course) are so often reliant on the tropes of the show, which you sort of have to get familiar with to fully appreciate.

Seconding this, the concept is simple and classic and Jon and Tom do a great job with it

Also the Best Show Gem that really got me into the show was actually not a Wurster call, but Jon Benjamin calling in as a Regional Sales Director for Smirnoff Ice, it's hilarious though unfortunately not necessarily representative since I think Benjamin didn't do a lot of those?

Geneva I guess if you count her as a regular? I think Laurie and Julie stopped for other reasons really, I think Laurie took flack on twitter or something and was hesitant to call in and Julie worked through a bunch of personal stuff over the past few years

As far as regulars go, I've always loved Jason and his thing about his son being on Tom's Ark was really good stuff

Likewise, Tom is loving hilarious every time he's on Hollywood Handbook. Hayes doesn't guest on the Best Show because he's a celebrity, he does it because he's a funny dude that Tom can joke around with.
Yeah these two comments are exactly on point. I don't think Hayes is the greatest guest or anything but if you listen to Tom's Hollywood Handbook eps, you can tell what a rapport they have when they're doing a bit, and when he's on the Best Show he's there for the right reasons.
