This anime just wants to make me go camping although I am very unsuited to the outdoors.

Isn't she the producer of these movies? And not in the "Stan Lee for Marvel movies" way.

That movie ends at the tail of act 2 when they fly into space on the tilt-a-whirl and explode in the upper atmosphere. No amount of proof or argument could convince me that they meet a horny female alien with red lipstick and Robert Picardo, who sing an embarassing "All Around the World" musical number and send them home.

Horny female is canon in any fiction

I still remember the first preview of Borderlands, before it had any gameplay footage, where they were describing this insane modular/randomizer gun mechanic and that they built a similar system for vehicles.

Then you play the game and the randomizer stuff was just rolled stats.

Yet the loot collecting aspect is definitely the highlight of the gameplay. The second and third games did the random guns better because you get combinations of not just stats but also different attachments, effects and brand features.

The MSJ
May 17, 2010

Sort of. Borderlands end up differentiating weapons based on manufacturers with each having their own style, trademark and weapon types. You can usually tell if the gun has sights, scope, bigger magazine, reduced recoil and such based on their visual design but for the more specific features you would have to read the stats.

One of my favourite aspect of this series is that these fictional companies are not just labels but they can actually take part in the story.

Bridgerton is so bizarre. They cast the Duke as black because he was the best actor for the role, and did color-blind casting, but then felt the need to justify it in-universe and cast the Queen as black. Now it's basically an alternative reality where black rights existed earlier and they did a prequel show all about the queen to explain it further. They might as well explain why the orchestras in the show play Billie Eillish songs with a spin-off about a time travelling musician.

Isn't Bridgerton specifically based on a book series which in turn was based on a historical rumor that one of the English Queens was actually black? It's written as an alternative history fiction.

The Sith, in the olden times of the Republic, were rogue Jedi who broke off in a great schism from the Jedi (after deciding that the Light side was weak and the dark nature of the Force was the key to salvation), and they set up shop with their own Sith Order on the planet Korriban.

Eventually, 99.9% of them were killed through generations of wars waged unsuccessfully against the Jedi and the Old Republic.

They were reformed by Darth Bane, a survivor of the Sith wars, who instituted the Rule of Two (only two Sith could exist at any time; a master and apprentice). This was how the Sith operated in the shadows for a millenium, all the way up to Vader and Palpatine.

Order 66 was the endgame of the millenium-long vengeance plan against the Jedi.

The only time Darth Bane appeared onscreen (in The Clone Wars as a ghost) he was voiced by Mark Hamill.
