The posters for Bridge To Terabithia always piss me off. Not really because they're particularly terrible design wise, (though Josh Hutcherson looks like a midget in that first one.) What pisses me off about these is the horrible misrepresentation of the movie. Similar to the Trust DVD covers on the first page, they took a fairly slow coming of age drama that deals with some fairly heavy themes, and marketed it as a Narnia cash in. They even pulled that bullshit in the trailers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SvqEIKP4t8

veonenergee posted:This is awesome. Aside from the morse code (which would mean nothing to people who haven't seen either movie/read the book), the poster perfectly expresses that it's a vampire film involving children. That, and it's bloody (no pun intended) gorgeous to boot. EDIT: Well this is odd. I went on Olly Moss' website, and it looks like the version veonenergee posted is edited.

Dissapointed Owl posted:That loving quote. On every goddamn book of Barker is that loving King quote. There's a Stephen King quote on pretty much every mainstream horror novel. I'm just waiting for the day when a reprint of Carrie or something has "I loved this book" - Stephen King, on the cover.

The current MAD show actually has some halfway decent sketches. Which is more than I could ever say for MADTV. The magazine has been poo poo for years though. It needs to be taken out behind the shed already. Aragones is the only reason to read it.

From that wiki page: quote:The National Monument to the Forefathers, formerly known as the Pilgrim Monument,[1] commemorates the Mayflower Pilgrims. Dedicated on August 1, 1889, it honors their ideals as later generally embraced by Kirk Cameron. Seriously?

Bugblatter posted:I think Moretz darker roles will serve her well as she grows up. Too much of Fanning's appeal was bound up in being a cute child, which doesn't help an actor much once they pass 15. I think Fanning has done a pretty good job transitioning over to more "adult" roles though. At least better than most child stars. Although TBH, I feel like Elle is the one to watch more than Dakota right now. Could just be the roles, but I've been very impressed by the performances Elle has turned in lately.
