That's one hell of an impressive opener to this thread.

Also, I never realized that the 127 Hours poster was also a subliminal hourglass shape until you posted that thumbnail.

I actually have a copy of this poster; it was available at the local IMAX for the midnight premiere. Would anybody here want it?

Buying a couple colorful poster prints for my very stark white-walled office. There's a lot of crappy ones out there, so I've searched for a few days to find what I think are the some of the best (work-appropriate) designs. Each of these would be 11"x17" or 12"x18" prints, framed and matted appropriately.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I was on the fence about the Jurassic Park one; I think I'll take it off the list. I found this BTTF one, which I kind of like better:

I always liked the teaser posters for the first X-Files movie, especially the green one - black helicopters, mysterious glowing domes in corn fields...

The blue one, "Future", is depicting an ice age, which we later learn from the film is actually the past.

Red is in Texas, a playground built over top of the aliens' cave - the set piece that bridges past and present.

...then, we have the second film, which came out six years after the series ended. I like the idea in concept, but the bizarre angles of the shadows versus the sole light source (combined with the pretty terrible composites of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) is pretty wonky. It would probably look pretty awesome if it were able to be created purely photographically.

My only issue with those posters is that Indy wasn't alone for any of those scenes. He was with Marion in the pit, with Willie and Short Round on the bridge, and with a bunch of folks each time he was in the Canyon of the Crescent Moon.

If anything, I would have picked the map room from Raiders and the leap from the lion's head from Crusade; not sure about Temple.

Anyways, that's a poster. Created at the whim of execs to appeal to the broadest audience possible. Which makes for generic looking crap. I'm sure you guys will get your phazers.

That's an international poster to show off the actors in the film; not defending it, but isn't that fairly normal with international marketing?
