I thought it would be cool if teams could have their home, away, alternates and a single "special" jersey that could be fuckin' ridiculous like the saints all white fan concept, or an all black or blue panthers uni or something. They let some teams where special old school ones. Why not let the expansion teams hold a fan vote or something to make something new and interesting. I dunno. Just spit balling.

I like all the new Jerseys. I'd like to see the NFL troll everyone and have a game a year like the final pre-season game where Nike designs what they'd really like to do for every team. Just so I can feed off the rage brewing inside you all when they're unveiled. Gonna put me $50 away every 1st of the month so I can get me a new jersey before the start of the season.

Plus it's not like $1.60 per day is a lot of money to put away. I used to be a smoker, I quit a month ago, I got mad spare cash now.

Snug fit would be cool, because even on game day in winter when i'm on holidays I hate looking like a reject from an eminem video wearing my jerseys. I hope they have a good sizing guide cause dropping 250 + shipping and the time it'll take to get here only to have it not fit would probably make me kill something.

The material is much heavier than the mesh the Reebok ones used to have, and without the sheen those had as well, the look isn't as nice. On top of that, they cut the shoulders like they're a women's baby tee, so if you try to raise your arms above rib level, the entire jersey pulls up with it and the bottom of your jersey ends up around your chest level. If they're gonna keep with this cut for the next 5 years, then I guess I won't be buying a new jersey over that time. I don't know why but it sounds like you were wearing a woman's t-shirt today,

I think it depends on the player. If they're wholly unremarkable or were poo poo. Like if I had a deshaun foster signed jersey I'd wear that sumbitch when I was doing anything. Cam Jersey though... I'd have it framed and mounted properly.

Toussaint Louverture posted:Hell, I would have actually gone to XU if they really did play jai alai. That would be bitchin. It should be optional, but I think they should wear them. I guess the issue is that the protection they offer may be restrictive enough for a players speed that they think it opens them up to getting hit more often so the net result isn't what you'd want overall anyway. For some guys I guess like Darren Sproles that quick movement away from a tackler that prevents them getting hit straight on or "cleanly" could be removed by being restricted by the additional padding.

japtor posted:I'd be surprised if padding would make a difference in hits like that though. It wouldn't. The more I think about this the more I think players might be opting out and rallying against it is because it's a move the NFL might be trying to sell to fans, media, and everyone who's mentioned concussions and injuries in the last few years without actually fixing anything. The players probably want some sort of commitment from the NFL to aid the development of better protective padding and this is just a bullshit band aid for a bullet wound. "look we ARE helping players, they have to wear knee pads now" Meanwhile linebackers and running backs end up drooling onto themselves until a coach smacks 'em on the rear end and sends them back into the huddle because they answered the "what sound does a cow make?" concussion test with a punch drunk grunt.

Got one of the game Jerseys, feels really nice compared to the old reebok replicas I've got in my collection. Feels like a much better make. It's got a weird cut if you wear it though so it feels kind of odd around the shoulders.

Not sure if you guys are aware, probably are but, through eastbay.com you can get legit fan gear including some jereseys (range is really limited) for a whole lot cheaper than NFLShop.com If you're outside of the US their shipping is about 40 bucks, but it takes 4 days to arrive. I saved about a hundred bucks buying some new nike trainers and some Panthers gear rather than buying retail or through NFLshop.

When I lift my arms, it causes the chest to pull up and fold across the numbers. Is this a problem with the better-grade jerseys as well? My Newton one does this but my brother's rodgers one doesn't.

That'll go well with: Colts, Panthers, and Cowboys seem to where white more than their home and the Panthers one if more likely to be worn once maybe twice a year anyway. Texans only wear their home blue like 4 times a year anyway since they love to trot out the battle red. Broncos now wear the orange as their home jersey too. The seahawks have what 4 variations of their jersey now as well? It's not quite that bad.
