I saw an ad for Glory volume 2 in this month's Prophet and I got really excited because I thought the series was coming back for another arc but it was just for the second trade

I was always kind of under the impression that Image never really canceled anything. The people involved might stop doing it if the book is costing them money but as long as Image is getting their cut, they don't really care what the sales look like.

Just a heads up: Brandon Graham's Walrus came out today. It's just sketches and art and pinups but it's cool and good. Also, the second Glory trade either came out this week or last week AND Paul Pope has a prologue comic out for Battling Boy called "The Invincible Haggard West" that you might ask your comic book guy to look for since he probably didn't order it.

The only one I have an opinion on is their Miss Fury book that I got because I was curious. I only read the first issue but her characterization seemed to end at "I AM REALLY ANGRY BUT ALSO SEXY" and I was like "this is really bad and stupid." A lot of people I respect are writing some of them though. I know Phil Hester wrote/is writing a few. I bet those are good.

I can't tell what is going on in Pretty Deadly at all. It looks nice but, like, nothing makes any sense to my brain. There's cowboys and vulture girl and stuff happens but nope it's just not clicking. Did anyone else get the new Shaolin Cowboy series? I'm way behind on my comics so I'm not sure how long ago it came out. It's...kind of underwhelming so far. I mean, a cowboy monk chops hundreds of zombies into bits with a giant staff that has chainsaws on the ends but I guess I was just expecting more?

There was a giant "how to make money writing porno e-books for amazon" thread in ask/tell for a long time but I think it got shut down after a bunch of goons got outed for writing centaur impregnation porn and it was all kind of a giant pyramid scheme anyway. And SPEAKING of uncomfortable pornography I noticed that Blue is the Warmest Color was opening at our local indie movie place so I got the comic off amazon. I haven't read it yet, but I flipped though it and it's just a gorgeous funnybook. But I'm also a sucker for sad coming-of-age stories.

poo poo anyone can write a loving Crossed book. Look, here are the first pages of Crossed: Deliverance by me right now Page one panel one: A scared looking woman and her husband are sneaking though what looks like an old theme park. Woman: I hope the those monsters aren't here. Page one panel two: a CROSSED man jumps out. He's really fat and gross and covered in blood. Rest of pages: the CROSSED kill the husband with weird things you wouldn't think are weapons like children's toys or power tools while the woman runs away crying and hides. -fin- Okay Avatar I'll be expecting a check in the mail.
