Yessir. Got several cases of pumpkin in last weekend. Gonna suck opening all those cans :smith:

funkybottoms: yes, there's a lot of it.

Re: glassware. I pretty much use a pint glass for anything I want to drink pints of and a snifter for sours, high gravity beers, etc. Beyond that I don't see much need. I'm sure there are plenty of glassware spergs who will disagree, though.

You guys have really ramped up the release of barrel aged offerings. Is there any strategy on how often you'll be releasing them? Completely random? We've seen 3 different Barrel aged beers in the last month.

Absolutely no strategy. I imagine most other notable breweries spend a lot pf time devoted to marketing and release strategies but uh we don't. At all. We have a couple big events a year but otherwise just play it by ear. With the Cognac Church I told Joey after we bottled it Monday, "Hey I'm going to start selling these Friday" and he said "Okay" and that was that. It kinda owns.

funkybottoms: depends on what vibe you want. Want to be all alone with your thoughts and a flight of beers, come in on a Monday morning. Want to be around beer geeks, come Thursday nights. Want a food truck and/or special cask beer, come Friday or Saturdays. Either way let me know when you're there!

Going to 7venth Sun today. Going to drink a lot of good hoppy beers. Going to get hammered again. I need to curtail my big sloppy messy weekends :ohdear:

Someone called it that back in like 96 or 97 and they've stood by it. Similar to PBR in that regard.

Really? That's pretty much my favorite style now. Big hop flavor but easy to drink is the best thing going right now. I'm glad more breweries are doing it.

Are there any good session IPAs with really strong tropical fruit or citrus notes?

The most notable off the top of my head is Intergalactic IPA by 7venth Sun here in the Tampa area. Now that's hardly distributed anywhere but I love it v:v:v. I think Terrapin does something like that and I don't hate it (unlike almost every other Terrapin beer). Okay maybe I haven't really had that many :sweatdrop:. But I love the idea of it!

Boy oh boy do I not care at all about people selling beers on eBay. I guess he can try upping the price of his bottles big time to make up for the loss revenue via eBay but...no one will buy his beer, because people who buy his beer on eBay don't go to Hill Farmstead because they're nowhere near Hill Farmstead, and they're generally excited to try a beer they have no access to otherwise.

Nope.

The local beer geeks are having a tasting on Wednesday at CCB, and I imagine we'll open up some cool poo poo. Let me know if you're coming, I'll tap something neat.

Yeah. Basically the idea is that each member gets a locker and we just put beer into those lockers once they're packaged and whoever has the key will just come and get them whenever they want. So if you bought it, you'd just give the key to whoever is close by to come grab them.

I think we'll make an official announcement this week.

So, not only did I get Morning Wood tonight, but I also got some Westy, and 12 year old Westy at that.

I did miss out on the 2000 Cantillon Gueze though, but you can't win them all.
