You have to realise that like a lot of truck buyers, Cybertruck owners want to reassure themselves of their manliness and their purchase hence you get performative nonsense like the above and they video of the guy who thought he was 'off roading' on a nice smooth dirt track. These are little boys with spending money and an ego that needs a good massage every now and again. They're just wanting their dad to say 'you did good, kid'.

Am I losing my mind or did the original Cybertruck design have a ramp built into the tailgate?

The comment about getting beat up by every pothole whilst sat over the front axle in a kei... It's not a thing in Japan because their roads are glass smooth. It's why they can drive those absolutely dragging on their arse VIP cars and only come to trouble when they have to get in or out of a meet driving over kerbs. It's the same here in the UK, the roads are awful because no one with power cares to improve anything for anyone but themselves.

Saying something sucks because it doesn't fit your exact scenario; "I need to haul a boat, carry 11 kids, do my monthly Costco shop and drive 1000 miles on my commute" is always funny to see. Nobody cares about your particular scenario, people would just like to be able to buy a cute little guy for tootling around in, maybe using for the odd job and talking about the truck with people who wonder what it is...

*edit: can we talk about the invention if something called car wash mode for this special snowflake of a vehicle? I just fire water at my car and it's fine, it's not even supposed to be a tough car, it's a little shitbox and yet it somehow doesn't die because it gets wet.

Anyone want to armchair scientist this? My thought is that as an EV they (manufacturer) assumed it would be utilising regen for a significant amount of braking force generally. So when that was turned to low or off on the track the little pads in the calipers simply could not handle the physics of a 5000lb car braking heavily on a track.
