I am guessing that the matches will still be 5 vs 5. The excess number is to show that unlike the main cast, that club has a ton of members. It's a pretty common trope to appear in sports animes.

Apparently the tournament matches are 10 versus 10. This puts the main characters at a disadvantage with only 5 tanks. I wonder if the cast will increase or the other teams won't use 10 tanks.

There's only so much clever plans and determination can do when your opponents have five more tanks on top of having 3 Tigers on the field and you have outdated American and Japanese tanks on your team.

Those were Japanese tanks. The Type 97 Tanks to be exact. It's referenced in the school's name, where "chi-ha" is the nickname of the Type 97 tanks.

Edit: Also pretty sure the USSR team beat the Polish team so those where the twin turret Polish tanks.

This series likes switching main characters so it's possible as a spin off. Currently, Miho is the main character of the anime. While Yukari is the main character of the manga and Saori is the main character of the light novels.

Yeah, the Type 89 is pretty much there as a joke tank. In the match against the British Tanks, the Type 89 was able to get some shots to hit the British tanks (including the one at point blank) but all they got was a "ding" sound with the shell deflecting. It's kind of sad, really. The Volleyball team seem to be one of the more competent teams but their tank is really holding them back.

Creating a ton of artificial land is is probably cheaper than building and maintaining many ships that size.
Apparently, this show's reason for the carriers is that they can't live on land for some reason anymore.

They also found a Tiger and a new gun for the Panzer IV which should add some much needed firepower. I wonder if the Type 89 will replaced as a result as it's kind of useless since it can't penetrate anything and lacks speed.

This series is getting 6 more episodes. Each volume of the Blu-ray will come with an additional OVA episode. Since there's 6 Volumes, we get 6 more episodes. I'm hoping they show the Anzio fight in at least one of the OVAs and not waste it like the first one (it's a swimsuit episode).

I like to remind you that they have a Tiger Porsche, not a normal Tiger I (or II). It's basically a scraped prototype and worse than a traditional Tiger. Even then, a single Tiger won't make much of a difference due to the numbers difference.
Also, they don't have the Tiger fielded (it seems like they couldn't get it fully operational before the match) and unless they let teams enter tanks mid-way into a match, the Tiger will not show up in this match.

Miho said it was a 15 versus 6 match which implies that the enemy has 15 tanks in the battle. If 5 were replacement tanks then why would the match with Saunders (the team with the most tanks) only have been considered a 10 versus 5.
Maybe the 10 tank limit is only for the early rounds?

Ha, the reason why Ooarai's tanks are so ragtag and includes some really lovely tanks is because the school sold off the good ones when the first Sensha-do club disbanded. Basically, what they're using right now are tanks that weren't saleable because they're not that good.

Zettace

Actually, those mechanics might be next crew. There's four of them (enough for a crew) and only 2 of them have appeared outside of the opening which means the other 2 will probably show up sometime in the last few episodes. They even have an animal symbol, the lion team.

Also, I really don't think they're going to switch tanks. The tanks have basically been each crews "partners" with the Panzer IV being the mascot of the series. Not to mention that a lot of the merchandising is tied with the tanks and their crews.

Is this actually true? Couldn't you just replace the frames with a different one quite easily since animation is done digitally now. Why would a few frames delay an entire episodes like that?

Zettace
Nov 30, 2009
No one was able to come up with the source for a panty shot frame causing the delays so I would say that's just a rumour and very unlikely to be the truth. Why would a few frames that could easily be replaced cause a whole episode to be delayed?

And yes, the Tiger Porsche did catch on fire. It happens pretty early in the episode.

The show has confirmed that the further you go in the tournament the more tanks you're allowed. That explains why the first round was 10 tanks, the third 15, and the final round being 20.

Lord Koth posted:

These were mentioned by Miho:

She also says they have a Jagdpanther. It's the third tank from the bottom left of the chart she circles.

Edit: Oh yeah. I found it hilarious that the Type 3's crew are basically WOT players. Their gimmick is that they play an online tank game and wanted to drive a real tank.
