Your phone is probably second only to your wallet in terms of value when you're estimating the value of your commonly held possessions, and they generally have good resale value. Any sort of pick pocket who isn't rubbish at what they do is going to be able to sneak that out with little effort.

The buckle up sashes have a clear front and back though. You could wear the buckle at the back if you want, but you'd look a bit silly.
