That is pretty sad news to hear. I really like the more recent touhou characters, and I was looking forward to a translated HM. Here's hoping someone else picks it up, then, but you guys are great.

That's right. We're going to have a self-updating, multilingual translation patch for the in-game dialog of the Touhou 14 trial a few hours after we got our hands on the game. We've worked for over 1 year to make this possible, and now, we finally have the best chances to pull this off. Of course, this requires that there aren't any major engine changes in the areas that affect us, but EoSD was the last time this happened anyway, so it's highly unlikely.

However,
these "few hours" merely refer to the technical side of things. We're going to release it once that's done, whether the actual translations have been completed or not.

Thus, we need your help.
Yes, you Japanese → English translators who usually immediately translate these after their release.

Don't just put up your translations on your blog or webspace where nobody would find them.
Don't just post them on /jp/ where they'll get sagebombed with lots of "hurr durr $newchar is mai waifu" posts within minutes.
Don't wait for Touhou Wiki to put up the pages to translate the in-game dialog there - rather help them by doing everything else!

Instead, enter the in-game dialog translations into Touhou Patch Center - which will have the original Japanese texts in easily translatable form sooner than any other site. By helping us, you will bring your translations to the fans in the only speed worthy of the Touhou fandom: "Faster Than Light�".
Let's make this happen.

I couldn't get the patch to work at all earlier today, and was pretty down on it.

Just now, an hour ago, I got it working, and suddenly it's magical and auto-updating and I won't need to touch it again until I get a new touhou game. This is really a new paradigm and I love it.

I've always really loved Koishi the Loving Gourmet. Anything by Karaagetarou is golden, and Giselebon's works are cute too. Then there's also the Finnish 4koma everyone in this thread reads religiously.

It would have to be dealt with no matter who brought it over, and Carpe Fulgur doesn't want to be the ones to deal with all of that just to bring it over. I can't really blame them too much for that.

Nah, the best way is probably Golden Sky Stories. It's all about being minor yokai, so you and your friends can be stage 1 bosses together.

In terms of recreation, it's mostly just drinking parties. There's actually a chapter in the manga about a character complaining that all anyone does is drink.

I still love that the canon explanation for why Byakuren doesn't have any friends is because she abstains from drinking.

Yeah. Sorry you had to find out this way, but every artist who has ever done anything noteworthy has drawn nudes and/or porn at some point. Naked people are really good practice for anatomy, and two people in intimate physical contact are very good for practicing posing and proportions. Leonardo DaVinci did porn, Michelangelo's career was built on nudes.

It's just part of the territory of being an artist.
