Or hold down the "keyboard down" button and you can undock the keyboard without splitting it.

KFJ posted:So, a couple of weeks ago my iPad suddenly stopped being able to use Google & YouTube, which is a problem since googling and youtube is almost all I do on the thing. "No worries, it'll fix itself" I think to myself, but it still won't work. It just sits there for a while and gives up, saying that the site can't be accessed. I'm not having this problem on my iPhone 1 or my desktop PC, although I think my iPhone just might be using EDGE to access Google. Could you guys help? I've done some googling but everything I've found so far doesn't help. My brother apparently has the same problem on his iPad, and we share a network. I've tried restarting the iPad, the router, updating the iPad, and so on - None of it works. Restoring network settings/restore the device/Apple Store afterwards or call Apple Care if its still in warranty for phone support

Mine has been acting very erratically the past few days - sometimes it's fine, sometimes I'll need to press it multiple times to get it to work, and sometimes it just won't respond at all requiring me to reset the iPad. It's a 3rd gen (the first with retina display), so about 1 1/2 years old (I think, can't remember exactly when I bought it). It's one of the most used buttons and can break.

I know the iPad can do nearly everything that I did on my Mac but I have a question about photos and managing them. Without a Mac and iTunes to sync with, how can I manage my photos and transfer them from my iPhone to my iPad and visa versa? First answer : use Photostream so you can move pics between devices easily. Dropbox etc work too Second answer : just get pages

If you click on an upload button for any website I believe it'll prompt you to take a photo or choose an existing one. No other file options than that. E: unless you jailbreak, then it's easy.

(and then another light strip, and then the bloom.) I have an app that does ambient lighting with my Hue. You have to point your phone camera at the TV so it's kinda stupid. There is a website some guy has that has a XBMC plugin that does it but the lag was bad when I tried it months ago. I have a plugin that dims my lights 50% when I play content, and when I pause/finish a movie it goes up to 100% again. I get a lot of props from friends when I do it. I want to put the Bloom light behind my TV and have it change based on what's on the TV. Problem is light bulb costs and the fact that there's not much hacking going on with the Hue. It's a slow burn.

WAFFLEHOUND posted:This is much more of a general iOS question than an iPad one, but is there a way to divorce language setting from the keyboard? For various reasons I tend to type with a Scandinavian keyboard layout but in English (most of the time). The problem is when I hop on my iPad my choices are either screwing up my Swedish dictionary by plowing through it with English and hoping autocorrect doesn't randomly drop Swedish everywhere, or having all me special characters moved around in a really useless way for me. Can I have a Swedish keyboard with English autocorrect enabled? No.

In Canada they raised the prices of Applecare from 49 to 79 so double check in the States too. If you got the protection before they changed the rules you're still paying the old deductible.

You're trying to get something you can't put on a more than 30 day old device. Store managers can't apply it so calling is your best bet, or return /rebuy and then do it within the 30 days like the policy states.
