When my mother retired from teaching she had a year and a half of paid time off, so she was paid at the normal salary for that time before she had to start drawing her pension.

Commercial vehicles in the lower 48 states and Canadian provinces pay specific taxes through IFTA which takes mileage into account. Oregon even takes note of vehicle weight and requires a special permit to drive a class 8 truck in the state.

Mormon Nevada dude should get his kids in the choir and then have them learn piano basics from the temple pianist.
