"Jeff Jarrett was more of a badass than the entire NWO." Is an extra aggressive bad take. I don't completely disagree with the point but to me that's a feature, not a bug. Why should 2 people in a match auto hate eachother? The ufc guy who won a championship recently is fun and legos are like the least bad rear end thing I can think of. The dudes who wrestled Shotty Lee and Sonny looked great. They both had things I liked about them without being douches. There's a bunch of "Im just stating my opinion" weirdos who I hope just choose their own narrative and gently caress off but let's be honest. The "constructive criticism" crowd come off like they're trying to be clever by saving that chance to say they were right either way. But I think I've gone overboard tilting windmills.

I was just thinking to myself the other day how some wrestling fans come up with weird logic for complaining about things like this. Cobra Kai had Carrie Underwood cover a song from the first Karate Kid movie. You wouldn't get the reference without going back to a movie from the 80s but I doubt anyone is as baffled by it. Do fans of the Marvel movies bitch about "how am I supposed to take the loss of half of humanity serious when it's some goofy purple bastard doing it and there's a talking racoon from some outlaw mud show running around?"

Maybe a little late for the soap opera talk but saw this on the Observer youtube about Forbidden Door:

People have some wild ideas for what they assumed AEW would be. I know the answer is "it's
youtube." But I dont get writing out angry screeds about something you hate.

And Passions was the only soap opera I ever watched. My grandmom loved the Timmy character. He was a doll that a witch brought to life with magic to help her with her evil mischief. The actor died the same day the character died on the show.

Edit: do the people who dont want refs to have a personality also hate guest ref spots?

I think it depends on what you mean by "consequential" because that's not a word i normally use. I took it as - not your matches but what you did to change the overall picture of wrestling. Hogan sucks but wrestling isn't what it is today without him. I get Mysterio but I could see Liger there too. Because I feel like I remember people talking about him when they talked about Mysterio in wcw. 40 years of wrestling is a lot to cover too. I'm more America wrestling focused as my earlier ignorant comment showed. I could see Hayman over Inoki. It's not to say Inoki isn't influential. It's just I know him as the guy who points at his chin because of a whatever dude article I read in the 2000s. But I remember watching wgtw channel 48 and it would be hard for me to say that didn't lead to the attitude era.

Yes. His evidence is that he's been watching a section of tickets and a total of six tickets sold a pair at a time over the course of a day.

I'd like to see how the haters would respond to "Maybe it's just not for you." Like forget the casual fan. Day time soap operas could change their story to get the casual day time tv fan. Or they could put on a great show that the fans watching want to see and if the station airing it is happy that's cool. It's not always about the casual fan.

Edit: i mean rhetorically if that's the right word. They would just come up with another excuse.

I get it. He had to slither off to his lawyer like a greedy snake because there was no pay based incentive to talk to Colt without one. If only he had to talk to him but guaranteed contracts forced his hand. And the workers? The workers don't work as hard as him so it isn't fair that they're just handed a paycheck. It's a much better system if they earn their own Starbucks gift cards but since he works so much harder he should get to pick and choose who gets the cards.
