I just realised the terrifying thought of the generation of wrestlers who grew up with 2004-2012 era raw. Those now mostly greq with attitude era and talk of Eddie Guerrero a lot, and Benoit uf he wasnt persona non grata. Who will be the inspirations from that period? Im leaving out the last few years because i hope Bryan, Seth, Cesaro, Ricochet, early Bray even, might rub off.

Merge it with Suzuki-gun as thats lacking talent right now too through injury or otherwise. Bullet Club is a stable without leaders. Suzuki-gun is a leadership without a stable.

The Montreal Screwjob was a work I used to think it was real so I guess it worked me well. But think about how open they are with it, how often it's been mentioned in story lines. It made the evil Vince character that can feud with Stone Cold. It makes Brett Hart even more loved by the fans. Like a good babyface he only lost since the other guy cheated him. Now the smart fans see he lost in a way that still shows the whole thing as fantasy. It's what an Attitude Era WWE needs. They are copying ECW and half way admitting what it is while still making it a show. Vince hated ECW yet he could not deny that approach got fans to watch. If it was real the WWE would have never shown the clip again. How often do you hear about Wendi Richter? Also, Brett came back to the WWE. So he either was not happy with being getting all the respect in the world showing up an indy show for less pay than Vince can afford or he has no morals. He does not need money. I've heard he was not a party guy who blew it on drugs. He's a smart family man who was a top guy. He does not need the WWE to say goodbye to fans or be loved. He came back to close the story line when the time was right. Lots of wrestlers agree with me too.

He has too many championship reigns and it's time for someone not stale and boring." This would be true if Roman won the Rumble that Batista won instead. A year later dud a number on him, especially his push to the main event after The Shield break up and especially the injury updates when he got injured. It was amazing, it was an unironic week by week injury update just like randy Orton in the early 2000s except was meant to keep him a face and instead turned him into Poochie.

MJeff posted:Roman's push is completely different from Okada's because Vince chickened out on actually pushing Roman over the top what, three times? Before he actually did it in the most limpdick way possible. Gedo actually pushed Okada. Roman is much closer to Naito. They waited to pull the trigger when he was hot so he had already cooled off so by the time he was meant to be The Guy (G1, Royal Rumble) people soured on them for others (Hiroshi Tanahashi, Daniel Bryan). Their biggest problem was then enduring the literal years of boos and the smarks saying "turn him heel". They think making him heel would kill him for merch when if they just stepped back and realised His Cousin The Rock got over through being a heel who organically through heelishness became a face they were trying to bloody save him. Meanwhile Naito did turn heel, became tranquilo, pissed people off for a while and then as time went on became really popular through charisma. Like when EVIL debuted he was meant to be EVIL and it was so on the nose that I laughed when I first saw the recap.

To be fair to that they took years to turn The Uso's too, instead they were the twins no one could tell apart who did a haka in their entrance. Like I know the people who just could focus on their ring work, like Big Dave, said they were great but a few years back I remember Dave being shocked The Uso's not winning tag team of the year over The Young Bucks and I did a double take because literally until he said them I didn't think anyone rated The Uso's as anything other than "that team with the titles in WWE". Hell that may have been the first year the Bucks won it. P.S. Please for the love of gently caress The Bucks better not win this year. They should've already lost a few, definitely at least once to The Revival, but if they win this year over anyone (but especially the Lucha Brothers) I give up on them entirely and they've gone too far into the meme.

replace Obama with AEW and Keyes with WWE for how the viewers and ratings work Obama vs. Alan Keyes is proof. Keyes was from out of state, so you can eliminate any established political base; both candidates were black, so you can factor out racism; and Keyes was plainly, obviously, completely crazy. Batshit crazy. Head-trauma crazy. But the twenty-seven percenters in Illinois voted for him. They put party identification, personal prejudice, whatever ahead of rational judgement. Hell, even like 5% of Democrats voted for him. That's crazy behaviour. I think you have to assume a 27% Crazification Factor in any population.
