Check out the mini-map in the screenshot. That's how far the map geometry goes outside of the ESD interior. Also found out that the starships floating in the core dock area are all fakes (no solid geometry).

Managed to get above one, leaped for a warp nacelle and well...

So the goon channel chat got talking about Plasmonic Leech a bit ago. On a whim I got 5 Tal Shiar boxes (had 5 keys stashed). Got 4 Doff packs... and a loving Plasmonic Leech box. :stonkhat: :wtc:

Now I'm torn on whether to keep it for an alt or cash it out to make up for the fact that Voth Bastion boxes have dropped 25M in the last week, as I'm trying to get a Recluse.

Oh yeah FrostyJones, I have all the bits for a TR gun made up. Just need to get them to you at some point. Also, can you make any other Lv 15 items ? I'd love to get a Sci and Engy console at some point.

There are now 3 tiers for STFs. Normal stayed the same. Advanced is now the old Elite, with the formerly optional tasks no longer optional, with new optionals thrown in on top. Elite is the top level, L60 characters only, and the now doubled up optionals are again not optional, plus all the enemies are super juiced on steroids, crack and meth, with the newest STFs having some annoying timing/mechanics stuff thrown in on top. Oh yeah, Hive Elite ? Better hope that not everyone is dead at the same time because that's an immediate auto-fail now. At least now the game is nice enough to let you know exactly how many multiple thousands of damage points the dongship lances one-shot you with.

I've been farming some missions recently for kit modules and I wanted to see about upping the survivability of the main ground BOffs I have. Right now all 4 have a random assortment of XI/XII blue/purple Polyweave armor and shields. I have sufficient fleet credits and Dil to buy all of them Elite Fleet armor and shields. For armor I'm thinking Polyalloy ResAll/RegSH/Nanite and the RegSH Shields.

Server stability is still poo poo, even after the emergency maintenance they did tonight. I got disconnected 3 times in less than an hour then said gently caress it after the last one. Things I did or encountered tonight:

Some goons have Mk 14 Gold secondary deflectors already
Pubs will pay 100k on the exchange for a skill book the trainer NPCs sell for 2k
Some of my BOffs have sprouted random skills I don't remember them having (Mine Dispersal Beta 3 on a Jem'Hadar ? WTF?)
Market for some skills is already in full throttle SR-71 went into a nosedive cratering for some powers (saw EPtW 3 for anywhere from 300k to multiple millions)
Got my Intel dude OSS 3
People already have Rank 3 Command skills up for sale, BOff training tokens for Command were 3M and up when I got my last disconnect.

Didn't do any of the new missions or the daily hunt the omega mission though.

Official response, from the new head honcho guy no less, about them taking mark conversion projects out of the Dil weekend -

http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=22133821&postcount=89

some Cryptic person posted:

While the earn rates for Dilithium remained fairly constant for any type of content that provided it as a reward, the earn rate for Dilithium that was collected using the mark conversion projects during the event skyrocketed. When we allowed mark conversion projects to gain a bonus during the Dilithium event, the vast majority of people were only using mark conversion projects during the event. By not offering a bonus on these projects, we are making mark conversion projects valid and valuable all the time, not only during the few Dilithium Weekends we run every year.

tl,dr: We suck at proofreading, and we did this to increase the value of mark turn-ins! :downsowned:

And as an attempted placate measure, they are making this a Dil Week (lasts until the 12th now), instead of just a Weekend.

Seconding the "get an Intel cruiser" thing over an Excelsior. They have very similar BOff layouts, except the Intel has an advantage in a Universal Ensign slot and a Lt. Commander Engineering slot. Also, you get a cloaking device and access to Intel skills, which means fun & useful things like Override System Safeties, Surgical Strikes and Ionic Turbulence. The advantages of the Excelsior are that sexy look :swoon:, a bunch of built in trans-warp destinations and one more Tactical console slot. And definitely stay away from the Command ships right now.

Due to the fact that you will apparently be able to use ships that you have commissioned, and then dismissed, with the A-System has caused the price of Mirror (insert ship type here) boxes to skyrocket on the Exchange. Ok so, is this happening to anyone else ? tl;dr - what the game is displaying for DOFF and Admiralty job rewards is off by anywhere from 20% to 75% when compared to what the Reward channel shows.

I had 4 Admiralty jobs finished, 3 of the 4 had exceedingly wrong Fed Campaign XP displayed. The only one that was right was the "Divert Attention of Hostile Spaceborne Entity".

The others:
Escort High-Security Prisoner Transport - Displayed Campaign XP is 3,179, got 579
Transport Political Prisoner Into Custody - Displayed Campaign XP is 2,940, got 340
Investigate Stable Astronomical Phenomenon - Displayed Campaign XP is 3,072, got 472

code:
Divert Attention of Hostile Spaceborne Entity

Here's the DOFF job screenshot:

Note how Skill Points, Expertise and Trade XP are all wrong compared to what the text log shows.

E2A: All of the above is apparently a "Known Issue". :downswords: tl;dr All displayed results are a lie, go figure.

some bug hunter at Cryptic posted:

The doff issue has been reported and confirmed. It appears the Doff rarity bonus (+5%, +10%, +20% for uncommon, rare, very rare) is not applying to actual rewards but is applying to the display.
http://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1206316/doff-missions-no-longer-grant-bonuses-on-rarity

The Admiralty issue is a display issue with the daily bonus. The first admiralty mission you complete per day per campaign gets bonus XP, but the bonus is added to the display on all completed missions. After you acknowledge the first, the daily bonus is done but not subtracted from the other missions. You should be receiving the correct pre-bonus XP however. If you discover different behavior than this, please report back.

That depends in part on what Sci powers you are using or plan to use.
