If I remember correctly, he slid all the way into the 9th round in the one we did 2 yeas ago. I was at the point that if he had slipped to me in that round I would have taken him anyway despite having taken Posey with my 1st rounder.

Anyway, since I'm no longer phoneposting, I'd like to say that I'm quite pleased Parra made it to me. There weren't a whole lot of good options left in CF without making a major sacrifice in either offence or defence. Considering Parra's an elite defender with a league average bat, I really can't complain too much. I know his season this year has been pretty bad, but he's won the gold glove 2 of the last 3 years and is the reigning NL DPOTY. The talent's there. Half of the fun is learning about a bunch of players I hadn't heard of, and the other is the game of chicken we all play to see just how long we can hold off on nabbing that sleeper.
