The touch screen sometimes steals focus from the main interface and the controller doesn't register button presses anymore until you wiggle the control stick. I can't believe that focus-stealing is a problem within a game itself. WiiU

shame on an IGA posted:Morey Towers is actually fun when you can spawncamp the other team by yourself for half the match During a Towers match that we were woefully getting thrashed on, a guy with a SplattershotJr. managed to get to our spawnpoint despite my best efforts. I wish I had a recording of what he did, it was crazy looking. I was unloading a minigun at him from the top of the first ramp (spawnpoint -> first bend) and didn't manage to land a single wad on him despite the path being very narrow. He'd jump, shoot a single shot and land into it in squid form, and then immediately jump out of it and shoot a single shot again. He did this in a zig-zag pattern of 90 degree angles all the way up to the spawnpoint. The whole thing went by in 2 seconds. I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm glad that the splatfests keep you with the same team if you replay. I wish the default behavior of the game was like that. Team Future has a lot of garbage players, but once you get a good team going, you can still steamroll victories like nobody's business.

How many splatfests have there been where the most popular vote is the one that won the most matches? e: If there's a next time, I'll be voting on the side that's most likely to have players that will actually try to protect the landing area of other jumping players. Weapon of choice is the tri-slosher, followed by the Lunablaster Neo and L3-D. The Tri-Slosher and Lunablaster sort of work the same way though -- run up to someone in zigzags and unexpected ways like a complete spaz, and then frag the sucker. It's very successful except specifically against dynamo rollers. My worst is by far the chargers, especially the light ones like squiffers and bamboozlers. Special mention for the H-3 nozzlenose, I keep messing up its timing.

You could charge your special without moving by having the Tenacity special ability and just having teammates die a bunch. Maybe the occasional kill is him sometimes launching his free special and getting a lucky hit? I know that's what it would look like if i was distracted but otherwise getting free specials. On the other hand, I'd probably just let it idle in the lobby instead. Shifty gimbal fucked around with this message at 17:46 on May 8, 2016 |

As far as the 5 vs 4 was concerned, I was on the 4 side. It was complete chaos once the we hit the 15'ish second mark and the specials were reached, as expected. We somehow ended up winning the game, though barely. At the beginning, the 5th player sort of spawned off-center from the pad, right next to the left-front player relative to the camera as if both players were pushing each other off the 4th spot. The repeat-player indicator showed 5, indicating that all 5 players had continued from the last game I believe? It leads me to think that the game had somehow thought that the 4th player had quit and had found a replacement during team setup, but the 4th player actually stuck around. It might be that the game can't forbid people from joining if they were presented with the option of sticking around with the same team, but there's a rare condition where the game thinks that a player is missing. If that's the case, the 5-team could continue indefinitely until someone disconnects or otherwise quits.

Is it me or there's a huge gap between the 1400's and 1500's? I'd join a team at 1490 and completely dominate, but if I had the bad luck of getting a disconnect and my personal score was above 1500, I'd have a really hard time keeping up until I'd get thrown back in the high 1400's (or get completely carried and be in the lower half of my team the majority of the time).

I know that this complaint is by design because Nintendo is a bunch of babies, but I really wish I could do whatever I want with my rematch countdown time. If I still got 15 seconds to press okay, let me study the scoreboard a little more if I want to. It sucks to either check out what my k/d looked like, or look up what a particularly nasty competitor's score looked like, but barely ever have time to do both. It really feels like they put the scoreboard there because they had to, but they really don't want you looking at it too closely.
