HideofBeast is a goon, but yeah, he's extremely talented and the amount of effort he puts in doing the challenges is amazing; and I'm sure off-site recommendations are fine, especially since some are mentioned in the OP.

Very much obliged; I still remember the seething hate from Coulis when they had to go through the tedious zombie shooting section. That game was such a wonderful wreck.cmndstab posted:Coulis did Shadow of the Comet and it's sequel Prisoner of Ice, right? Those are worth watching just because Shadow of the Comet is such a perfect slow build, and then Prisoner of Ice is such a massive shitfit

Skwirl posted:There was a play through of one of the early Genesis Sonic games (Almost certainly 1 or 2, maybe 3) that was frequently recommended. It was from a compilation that added an easy mode, and the commentator was just really laid back, I know it was recommended several times in the last version of this thread, anyone know what I'm talking about?

Camel Pimp posted:I kinda wish there were more glitch-based LPs; the only ones I can think of are Pokemon Blue and FF6. Never read the Pokemon one because I don't like Pokemon, but I've heard good things. The FF6 one, though, is an absolute blast. It's mostly based around one glitch, the Airship glitch, but it's amazing how one glitch can mess a game up so, so thoroughly.

Danger Mahoney posted:I'm looking for some let's plays where the person doing them is crazy good at the game and just breaks it apart. Like they know every nook and cranny of the game, maybe some exploits, and they are good at explaining what's going on. I would prefer if the games weren't overdone ones like OOT or mario 64 or something. Giragast does a pretty thorough and informative run through of what is easily an overlooked (and for good reason) survival horror game. It's basically Resident Evil on a boat, but Giragast breaks it down, goes into wireframe models and spawn points, and really shows more information about the game than most would assume existed.

Well on that note I'd like to recommend the current SL1 Boss Guide that Edo Animus is doing: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlti6Rq4bwplcBKBxE7epUOQcVYvHlH7- Even though it's not the entire game, it's still an informative and entertaining mini-LP for the game to tide people over.
