what program are you using to send hdmi out, is it windows media player or a video game or what

if all else fails there's virtual audio cable and it's not free but there is a free trial

if you're into powershell there's a lot of cmdlets that only 8/2012+ got and allegedly can't be backported to 7/2008 because the wmi functionality doesn't exist

hey everybody,
I have a site hosted on windows 2012. Users that are on IE8 cannot view the SSL page that's on this site, they get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

- other SSL sites on other domains (example: amazon login page) load fine
- non-SSL sites on the same host load fine
- the users are in hospitals etc where ie8 is the only browser they can use

what do I do
tell them to test with IE9 and when it either works or they tell you they don't have IE9 tell them to gently caress off

you could put the pagefile on it, but that's not going to do a lot unless you're low on memory. you might be able to get away with moving your profile there, which is where your appdata and temp folders are going to be, and that might speed things up a little, but that might also break poo poo in weird ways

check out this hilarious thing that happened to me and then help me.

work gave me a surface pro and I never use it because I have an ipad. So anyway I set up a child account on the surface pro so my kid can use the painting app on it. I did something so that it auto logs in as him (child account) and the child account can only open the painting app.

So obviously the problem now is how do I log out of his account and log in as myself. since it's a restricted child account it can't do anything such as task manager or get to the "charms" or hit ctrl+alt+del.

I'm gonna just reinstall from recovery usb if there's no extremely easy way to fix this.
