I dunno if it was posted in the last thread but the Street Fighter producer said a couple of days ago he's got no plans for the Wii U

It's not really surprising or anything but yeah

Calling Second Opinion a port seems kinda unfair, it's more like a remake. They added new operations, a new doctor, difficulty settings and it's got a totally different art direction.

Trauma Team never got an EU release unfortunately so I never got to play that one. :smith:

It'd be cool but they could make that same game, replace Wario with Mario and it'd sell triple the amount of copies

This so hard. I got gold medals on every single level except 6-K and the boss levels.

Something that kinda bummed me out after getting gold in all time trials was finding out that there's actually a rank above gold for even faster times which I think people call shiny gold. There's no reward for getting one and the game doesn't even acknowledge if you get them all but yeah

There were a bunch of rumours about a Pokemon fighting game called Pokken or something, right? Namco actually announced it for arcades today

I would assume it'd have to come to Wii U at some point too though

It would've been cool to get Zelda as part of the Zelda DLC instead of 3D World power ups but Link is pretty great and I'm more excited about the new tracks than the characters anyways.

I was on the Amiibo website today and saw that Captain Toad is going to use it. I still don't really get it but it'd be neat if you could scan Captain Toad into MK8 or something. If they're doing stuff like that then I'm going to be the lame nerd with a bunch of Nintendo figures

Someone either sell me on or tell me to avoid Steamworld Dig which I just saw featured prominently on the eShop. My kneejerk reaction is to avoid because it mentions "randomly generated levels" and makes me think of Spelunky which I don't care for, but I thought I'd seek more knowledgeable opinions.

Steamworld Dig is like a 3/4 hour game where you dig down, find money and items, go back to the surface and buy upgrades which will let you dig deeper and repeat. It's not really a Metroidvania and it's nothing like Spelunky at all.

It's more fun than I'm making it sound but it's super short and there's not really any replayability unless you want to speed run it or something. It's probably one of the better non-Virtual Console eShop games out there though

The super guide feels like the right sort of concession; beats the hell out of having every twelve year old boot up youtube walkthroughs. I'm saddened to find out that New Mario WiiU ditched the hint movies that you pay for in star coins - some of the "super skills" videos legitimately made me love mario even more.

There are a ton of ridiculous "super play" videos that the devs posted on Miiverse and they're really good

I don't think there's anything you can do. Nintendo UK has an online store where you can buy some eShop stuff but unfortunately they never update it and it doesn't take sales into account

Also they've somehow managed to be sold out of digital downloads of Hyrule Warriors

Oh drat, here's some pretty nice news.

Digital versions of Wii U and 3DS games can now be bought from Nintendo's website in North America (go to the Games tab, search for a game). Now, in the future, when someone's just bought a Wii U or is planning to buy one and sees some games on sale but doesn't have the system yet, we don't have to tell them, "Sorry, Nintendo's website is dumb and you actually can't buy games from it like you can for other platforms!" At least, if they're in North America.

Nintendo's had a thing kinda like this in the UK for like a year now but the selection is pretty limited and it's mostly just first party stuff. I also don't think we get the thing where you can send the download to your console
