Is there a goon-favorite YouTube app? I've been using Tubex but it seems to have a problem keeping me logged in; I'd prefer something that is updated with support for iOS 9 split screen / PiP / iPad Pro resolution.

I think all of the third party YouTube apps have this issue. Protube or whatever does at least.

Personally yeah, I watch a ton of vids and just having the convenience of not seeing adds and having background video playback is worth the $10.

Also I spend $10 on dumber things so this is actually not bad for me on a month to month basis. That being said I understand it's not feasible for everyone to bother with a monthly payment.

You also get google music plus in that price tho, so you can cancel Spotify if that's one of your $10 a month subs and come out pretty level.

Does twitter offer personal use api keys? If so, how about they tell people to go get their own key and paste it into the app.

Yeah that's a lovely process that no one will actually do and will kill the usebase of the app, but it sounds like they're on death's door already.

I’m pretty sure this used to be the workaround for something Twitter did ages ago. Using a key of some sort.

Go to settings and hit support Tweetbot on the bottom. As far as I know this is new for version 5 at least in regards of getting themes for tipping.

You can do the $1 tip and after you’ll unlock some more themes.

...where is that? I just downloaded the app to see if that option was there and there's only the option to sign up for a free 30 day trial and then $3.99 monthly or $35.99 annually after the trial.

Also I went into Settings > Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords and LastPass was an option in there, so I enabled that.

If that feature is in LastPass and there's a free option, is there any real reason to switch?

They don't really have this on the site because 1password is pushing the subscription over the one time purchase license.

I haven't had an issue with Overcast restoring a backup or anything of that sort.

You should be able to use Opener to fix that issue. Some apps however do allow third party Twitter apps to open Twitter. For example Apollo lets you do that.

I can’t tell if this is due to ios13 or an app update for the YouTube app but in ios12 days I could drop out of the YouTube app in the middle of watching a video, come back to the app in many days and the video would still be where I left it. With ios13 and the latest YouTube app sometimes the app will behave as if it’s cold starting even after just dropping out of the app for a few minutes and I have to go back to my watch history to find the video I was in the middle of. Very annoying.

This is an issue with iOS 13, apps don't seem to stay in memory as long as they used to.
