For example in one of the comics between S1 and S2 Oliver says that he transferred a million bucks each into Felicity and Diggles' bank accounts before he took off for the island and yet in one of the S3 premiere previews Felicity is working at a Radioshack lookalike. Retiring because you have a million bucks in the bank in your mid 20s isn't a sensible financial decision anyway. E: The corporate stuff is as realistic as the accuracy of automatic weapons, or the legal system etc etc.

I'd forgotten Felicity was an MIT grad actually. But you're right, the tie-in comics are the kind of thing that is canon until it isn't.
