A couple years back, I was driving down Eastern between Sahara and Desert Inn, and encountered an old man leading a train of pack mules down the road. For those not familiar with Las Vegas, Eastern is a major street, and there is very little reason for someone to be walking mules on it. I made a U-turn, pulled up and asked the guy, "What's with the mules?" The old guy barks, "Gold," without even looking up. It was bizarre. I think I still have the video.
