Those stages were the worst. So after losing at one a dozen times I tried the arena and one of the AI enemies sniped me to death with a shotgun. I just kind of gave up after that. I tried to find images of Nineball because that's definitely my favorite AC mech but the only decent art of it has already been posted in the topic before, the rest has been weird anime girls and touhou.

It helped that he was probably the hardest and most memorable boss fight in the first series what with being fought before you were stupidly high level with the best gear, and well before the mind numbing tedium of the games set in. Though Tarvos comes in second place just for being so weird and confusing.  This is literally the only fan art I could find of the original. There are a terrible number of fan art images of the phases turned into anime waifus though.
