Why wouldn't you retrain them? You only drop 10% off your primary skill which is like 40k xp regardless of any skills acquired (assuming you started with 100% primary skill). Most of the skills are useful for all classes, so there's no real need to retrain them either.

I'm dreading the LT15 mission for later tanks. What with most maps being made for tanks shooting at each others turrets at 100 meter range forever, no spotting needed. I think there's only around 5 maps where you can regularly do some heavy duty spotting without the enemy team being pants-on-head retarded.
