Seems like people recommending you should always camp early means that someone is in the wrong, either those people are mistaken or the devs haven't left players much of a choice.

I wouldn't remove this entirely, but if characters were limited to only learning say, 6 of their class's 8 skills, even though that still doesn't cut off your ability to tailor a character to what you want them to be, but it also means that you'll have a little more distinction between them. Man I just had the most satisfying boss fight. Two virtuous healers and one rear end in a top hat with a clean gun. The vestal kept blessing the party with +15% damage Highwayman was on DD more than once but managed to kill the necromancer.

Maybe they should just lock positive quirks. Swapping them only makes characters less distinctive and memorable.

Recently I was able to try this on a Win8 tablet... it almost works as-is, but there is no rightclick so you cannot check stats or scroll the map. The autosave would make this a decent portable timewaster.
