SMS are also giving us free DLC cars as a thank you for being patient. I accidently got reabsorbed into modded Minecraft so they could have delayed to 2017 and I wouldn't have noticed. :v:

Having complete control of the vehicle after you cross the pit entry line. So basically, you have to make sure you're on the pit speed limit at the line so you won't incur a penalty, and also make sure you don't miss your pit box or murder your crew.

That sucks, Cheesetriangles. At least the game is pretty good with a controller though? (Just tried it for the first time, quite nice).

Okay, when did Sakkito go from Suzuka to "not Suzuka"? I remember it being a pretty accurate reproduction, but now it's all different?

*After turn 2, Suzuka would go left, but Sakkito goes right. The S Curves do not feel nearly as aggressive

*Turn 11 (hairpin) is no longer there, and is a sweeping uphill left. It's a cool corner, but I liked the Turn 11 hairpin alot.

*The distance between Turns 13 and 14 (Spoon) feels a good distance shorter.

*Casino Triangle at 16 and 17 is just gone. There's what used to be the chicane, but you blow straight past it.

Why did they change it? Suzuka was awesome. Even though they've made a pretty nice circuit, it feels pretty off to me thanks to the hundreds (probably thousands) of laps I've done of the Suzuka circuit in Forza and PC sims.

e: Ah, they had to change it because they could not get a license in time, so made enough changes so they would not get sued.

I wish I could have up and downshift function with both my sequential shifter and my wheel's paddles at the same time. If I want to drive a Formula A, I have to go into the options and change the assignments.

Well, after last night I'm very happy with the game for multiplayer. The race where we did Capris and BMW group 5 cars on Snetterton with rain coming in halfway through was loving hilarious. Good racing guys.

Followed this guide on PC with my Fanatec CSR Elite, and I'm really happy with it. Tried it with both the Ford Sierra Cosworth and BAC Mono. Both have seen massive improvements, the BAC Mono especially.

Unrelated but last night I was doing a 4 lap race at Spa with a couple of goons and I had a drive through penalty. I finally get my rear end in the pits and when it spits me out I have a penalty for cut corners that was inexplicably for 740 seconds. So for 740 seconds I'm limited to like 39mph. The entire race was half that long.

oh my god this loving guy. he's bitching on the official forums because the recommended specs said Nvidia GT600 series and this goober bought a GT630 and is mad his framerates are low.

Yup. I got the same thing at Spa.

So, next time that happens I'm not serving my penalty.

I just found that you can adjust the wastegate pressure for turbocharged cars. This made the Lotus 98T go from "undrivable" in the wet to "terrifying, but doable."

Has there been a mini patch overnight? My wheel lost all it's bindings and calibration (CSR Elite) and after putting my bindings back in, I found that something had changed.

I've got a Frex Shift+ SQ shifter that I rewired to act identically to a Fanatec SQ shifter so it would use the same bindings for up and downshift. Previously, to go from paddle to SQ shifter I would have to go into the bindings options and change what device did the up and downshifts. Now, Even though I've clearly got the SQ shifter set to the shifting, I can still use my paddle shifters on the fly! This is awesome.

Surprised that they're putting this much effort into porting Project CARS to a console whose (generalisation alert) demographic wants Mario and Zelda games.
Honestly, the Wii U is the last platform in the world on which I'd expect to see a 'serious' game.

Also, the Caterham 7 Classic owns loving bones. It's one of the cars that, when I used a wheel, was the most fun to drive. Hosted a 30 lap race on Monza with it and just kept pushing harder to find its limits.

In all honesty it would be cheaper and easier for SMS to buy a PS4 or PC for every Wii U user who really wants Project CARS.

Generally if you join a pubbie lobby you will find that half of them are good racers and generally decent folk, whilst the other half are pants on head retarded. I have bumped into some of the former often enough in pubbie races which is nice.

One guy accidently drove into the back of me at the Variante della roggia chicane on Monza, but then lifted off just prior to Parabolica to give me 1st back. Nice chap!

Anyway, here's the only screenshot I took of that Formula A Nord rain race. It was quite hard to find the F12 key on my keyboard as I was using my wheel. ...I do have the replay, but that's for another day. Had to use the T-Cam as there was no way to see where i was going in the cockpit view.

Anyway, here's a couple nice screenshots of a goon+pubby race we did at at Spa in Formula B (best modern formula in the game fyi)

Also, how about some glitches??

During the Formula A Race we did at Hockenheim, my in car view decided the best location would be 20 ft above the car, looking straight ahead. Ended up having to T-Cam it.

I crashed my car into a bridge, I don't care. Neither does the car, apparently.

e: On the subject of replays, in the early access the players had the ability to use crazy camera angles in replays:

I now know the struggle of the F1 driver.

In the Nurburgring race, my race engineer would talk to me at the end of the second sector, which happened to be in the braking zone for the chicane, which put me off a few times.

Also, he demanded that I come in for fuel, and the "PIT IN NOW" window was stuck up on my HUD and I couldn't get rid of it.

Wish I didn't agree to work monday, otherwise I would have raced for longer

For me Forza 6 would mean I'd need to: A: Buy an Xbox One, B: Sell my CSR Elite, C: Buy a CSW V2 w/ Xbone rim.

That would put me into the �1000 region near enough, depending on how much I could get for my elite wheel. That's money that could go into my 944, so gently caress it. There's literally gently caress all else for me to buy the console for anyway.

Nintendo haven't made a good console since the N64, and the userbase is pants on head retarded if they make the conscious choice to buy a wii u over a gaming capable PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

It's pretty much like showing up to a F1 race with a Formula 3 car and crying when you either a) get told to go home or b) get curbstomped so hard it's actually tragic.
