I'm still not sure it deserves an Oscar, but really all I want to do is find ways to keep making GBS threads on the Academy for always making poor decisions. Except getting Kimmel to host this year. That was pretty great.

Have you watched Sunny yet? It's incredibly uncomfortable when you start seeing yourself in any of them, particularly Dennis.

How many shows can pull Jim Carrey for a tiny throwaway gag like that? The star power in 30 Rock is insane. It really needs a comeback now that Trump is in office.

Mover posted:That episode was especially weird because the finale had this whole running thing about how awful it is that we still have a pro sports team called the Redskins--and it's like, you just spent an hour yelling at your audience about how it's ok when you do it The thing that fell flattest for me was how she dealt with Tracy Morgan's real life homophobic jokes. It felt like a real cop out the way they downplayed what he actually said.

It hits every single emotion you can experience while consuming art, and it does so skillfully. The movie is beautiful, original, and absolutely full of moments that I can fondly recall years after I have first seen it. It's easily the best South Korean horror-comedy-romance-tragedy-action-thriller-supernatural-gore film I've ever seen.

I'm finally watching Iron Fist. It isn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I'm really enjoying Tom Pelphrey's performance so far. He did a great job in Banshee too. Does anyone else think he's channeling Michael Shannon pretty hard for this role? Every time he talks while I'm not looking at the screen I visualize Leonard the Skinhead from Let's Go To Prison.
