We had some great memes over the last year. Some examples: The lick/blehhh meme. The 9/11 meme. The weed rear end meme. The 'delete byob' meme. The regrettable smoobles meme. The one where that one guy would insist some person be banned. Meme-like universal distaste for that interceptor guy. We had seinfield situations popping up all over the place. Bo-Pepper is old meme. The GJSG's life is not as rad as it obviously is meme. There's many more, feel free to list them if you think of any notable ones. What is your favorite short phrase or meme out of the one year of BYOB history? Or do you despise them all equally and view these oft-repeated half-jokes as the death of humor in lieu of shared recognition? This is the thread to decide. |

Gonna serious talk here. Comin' up. Memes are pretty terrible, but BYOB is probably the best at them anyway, because they're not held on to for very long. Looking at that list is impressive, in the weakest sense of the term; tiny forum has gone through actually a lot of memes. It's nice that people can sort of recognize when something's tired and put it away, even sometimes after just a week or so. |
