Takeo was hella ooc ("Takeo, Yamato is missing!!!" "It's ok, lets go on these rides") and Oda straight up said he wanted onee-chan to confess so that she could get over him and he would have a shot with her. I was kind of hoping this series wouldn't have any shoujo logic. Oda isn't a good person nor is he a bad one, he is just a huge jerk.
