It's odd that they never include the Avengers tower in skyline shots, despite it being in marketing materials and easy to insert.

Combat Pretzel posted:I'm getting to the last few episodes. Given all the deaths and collateral damage that Kilgrave is racking up, why they're still trying to keep him alive, just to save some poor poor widdle girl from jail, is beyond me. Marvel morals, I suppose. Simspon (or what's his name) had it right. Rifle and bam. Yeah. It's dumb as gently caress. Especially because they make the girl totally unlikable. In general I didn't think this show was anywhere near Daredevil in quality. It felt noteably cheaper, her powers were handled really badly, AND I felt like everyone except the lead nailed their characters, whilst Ritter never quite hit the sweet spot.

You've gotta do some unorthodox things for this poo poo. I would've liked to see more of Jessica's time with Kilgrave. It felt a bit silly that he only had her kill a single person and we basically saw nothing of their time together. Also, when the old lady blew herself up with Simpson was when I decided Jessica was kind of a collosal gently caress up for not just killing him immediately. However, shouldn't his power of been nullified then meaning she wouldn't of done that?

dj_clawson posted:Something that didn't require a licensing agreement with a real liquor company. Just like Matt's vague German beer. Apparently the reason Jessica Jones looked so goddamned cheap was because the show runner spent about a quarter of the budget licensing Wild Turkey for half the episodes only to have it replaced with a fake replica brand when the studio put a stop to it. By then though the damage was done and she won't be show running season two.

Gaunab posted:I just started episode 8 and it just made me realize how much I want a the Defenders show just so I can see Luke Cage tossing ninjas around like nothing. Hopefully while Jessica Jones sips from a bottle of whisky. Also holy poo poo, it's Clancy Brown. Maybe they will keep Jessica's fighting style of getting pushed over a lot! Seriously, everything about Jessica Jones on a visual level was such a massive step backwards from Daredevil. Her fight scenes were laughably terrible and Matt seems more powerful than she is by virtue of the fact we actually see him do more things than just break off door knobs or leap one foot out of view. I'm hoping that shows second season really steps it up.

That seemed to go pretty high, so of course they were watching his house. I didn't see that as a loose thread. But why not just empty his house out? Why was it always just sitting around untouched even after he became a national news story. No crime tape or anything.

I feel like the internet at large would see a female Hulk who, instead of changing into a mass of muscles and rage, turns into a green swimsuit model, and call it sexist. It kind of is. Her design, despite whatever justifications have been given, is meant to be erotic. I don't care, but the poo poo storm would be impressive.

Clearly theres a big difference between a rushed production like Iron Fist and a multimillion dollar film. He's just pissed he didn't get the role still. Also the one good action scene in AB is a car chase and I'm sure as gently caress Theron isn't actually driving in it.
