Don't forget that mean old Obama wants to make up new overtime rules that will kill the retail industry  If managers can't work 90 hours a week for $25,000 a year, how can we expect to be successful!?

Whatever that National Retail Federation thingy is they did a "study" showing that surveyed managers believe that being hourly with overtime instead of salaried makes them no better than the other retail peons or something. Also Obama is doing this to destroy the restaurant industry. God drat you Obama.

The water in Flint is undrinkable because they source from the Flint River after the Emergency Financial Manager saved $12 million a year by breaking from Detroit's water system. The water is so bad GM can't even use it in their factory. The city wants to spend money upgrading the treatment plant to make it safe.

The Emergency Financial Planner says no, we're building a pipe to Lake Huron next year, too bad, drink it (and pay 8 times the price of Detroit's water even though he took them off Detroit's water because it was "too expensive") or buy bottled water, poors.

Eurabia is under Sharia Law :ohdear:

quote:

Senate Bill 1067 would have allowed Idaho officials to use the federal government’s existing system to provide enforcement after tracking down deadbeat parents.

Because the federal system is tied to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, which includes agreements with the Hague Convention on International Recovery of Child Support and Family Maintenance agreed to by Muslim-majority countries such as Bosnia and Albania, Idaho lawmakers fear the influence of creeping Sharia law.

“There is no specific language in the bill that would protect the rights of those dealing with parentage, child support and support orders from a foreign country that would contradict our laws here, ” said Sen. Sheryl Nuxoll (R). “There are other countries listed in the treaty—France, Belgium— that have recognized Sharia courts as quasi-courts. So I just feel that you should be aware of those facts.”

With other Republicans agreeing, including Rep. Kathy Sims (R) who said, “We don’t need to invite foreign law in Idaho,” the House Judiciary and Rules Committee shot the bill down.

Sounds a bit complicated. Perhaps this International Atomic Energy Agency you are proposing should just continuously monitor a country's entire nuclear program from mining raw uranium to what isotopes are being created and how waste is disposed. These "IAEA inspectors" could report when they are denied access to facilities and then the UN Security Council could respond with sanctions until access is restored.

The only problem with this idea is that since you can't prove a negative a country could become so convinced that something must be there and is just being hidden really well from the inspectors!

My Jr. High served turkey sandwiches where the turkey was sometimes all gristle and collagen. It's left me reflexively assuming anything to improve school lunches is a good thing.

So here's what the latest trickery is. Schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program get extremely cheap or free agricultural surplus, but they can't do anything with it because they don't have the resources to actually cook anything. So Food Company X comes along and says "sell us your surplus and we'll sell you processed foods!" and so they sell the food to Aramark, who sells it to Tyson, who provide nutritional garbage in return at a 300% markup.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/12/04/opinion/sunday/school-lunches-and-the-food-industry.html?referrer=

quote:

The Agriculture Department doesn’t track spending to process the food, but school authorities do. The Michigan Department of Education, for example, gets free raw chicken worth $11.40 a case and sends it for processing into nuggets at $33.45 a case. The schools in San Bernardino, Calif., spend $14.75 to make French fries out of $5.95 worth of potatoes.

The money is ill spent. The Center for Science in the Public Interest has warned that sending food to be processed often means lower nutritional value and noted that “many schools continue to exceed the standards for fat, saturated fat and sodium.” A 2008 study by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation found that by the time many healthier commodities reach students, “they have about the same nutritional value as junk foods.”

The schools actually sell all their cooking equipment so they can load up on junk like this.
