I think I've won IOT.

It got to a point I couldn't even buy one more level in the Saudi Fields without the game crashing, so I stuck the one specialist on it that makes them go up anyway. When I went to turn the game back on an hour later it just sits there with it's icon in the top left for 5-10 seconds, then goes all black and stops responding.

I literally cannot open the app any more.

I won.

So how much money did that end up being?

There's actually a physical limit for "all the money", assuming it was similar in size and composition to the linen and plastic sheets we use: around seven Y (yotta, 1024) would fill the observable universe; eight Y would smother it or maybe worse (it'd fit eventually) - and that's four Y more than you could make out of all the stuff in the universe, even if you could fuse it into the proper elements on the spot and assumed Zimbabwe dollars or something. If it's all in ledgers and databases, or the sheets are plastic credit cards rather than wet-weather national bank notes, or you hold with new findings that the physical universe is several orders of magnitude larger than the observable universe (still only a Y and change at the outer limit), you could have quite a bit more.

Two rows of Y with a P infront of it.

I'm on the last chapter of YMBAB, for all the raving i'm really unimpressed with it.

It seems you can play it one of two ways, just stare at the tiles and continue to make as many matches as you can as fast as you can, or pay attention to what is stopping you from running continuously to the right and try and find whatever match would help best / disarm that incoming trap / unlock that chest. Both ways work just as well as each other with no real benefit to either.

Unimaginative bonuses such as 'lucky coin', 'luckier coin', 'luckiest coin'. It's depressingly repetitive and grindy in places. Some of the challenges are pure luck, like getting two triple matches in a single play through, or the 10 crates with a bomb thing that has some people stumped.

All in all it's worth a buck or two, but there are far better poop break games out there. If this is the superior version of 10000000 then i'm somewhat glad i never played 10000000 in the first place.

Lifeline is on sale right now.

It's a real time interactive story where you are in radio contact with a stranded astronaut who crashlanded on an alien moon. You choose responses to his questions and suggest what actions he takes (check out those mountains or try to get back to the wreckage of the ship for example). He then sets off to carry out the action and tells you he'll be in touch when he is done. You get a notifcation when something interesting happens or he simply updates his feelings (my legs feel like jell-o, oh great, now all i can think about is eating jell-o!).

I've only been playing for the first 3 or 4 hours but it's a really nice way of telling a story that you can catch up on during a poop / smoke break.

Glad you guys are enjoying it.

Im looking forward to finishing the story just to start it over and choose some alternative options and see how much difference it makes.

It took the immersion out of the game for me a bit ago asking me to research safe levels of radiation he could be exposed to which is a real nice touch.

Im wondering if there are any 'wrong' choices or if it will ultimately play out to just a few fixed endings.

Stay safe Taylor!

I hope they adjust some of the pacific travel times.

I'd always hit the east coast of Asia / Australasia around day 45-50 and then waste 20 days hopping across the pacific with very little story told, then have zero time to gently caress around in the Americas.

Maybe they could add in a 'difficulty' setting to knock X days off of some journeys or add X days depending on whether you go easy or hard.

Start at level 1, put your phone on charge and come back 45-60mins later and you'll have 5+ million in a run.

Though that's still 100 runs like that, which is an awful lot of game time just to speed up the game time.

I trust goon reviews. Thoughts?

It got a good solid 10 hrs play from me, haven't quite finished it but as far as i know there are two alternative endings, and i may revisit it one day to finish and then try a different play style (i went for brute force, but apparently speed is the way forward, you can't be hit at all and never run out of stamina).

It's good, but i agree the stat decay needs to be nerfed a bit as it gets to be a bit of a slog in the higher levels.

Hold to hatch.

This is what i spent a lot of gold eggs on.

Seems pointless at first but once you're up to 10 chickens/second it makes tapping almost unnecessary for early stages (still needed past a certain point to get the multiplier up)

EDIT:

Just did a quick test, if you have 10 chicks/sec on tap to hold, then just 4 finger tap til your multiplier is maxed you can then just hold the button for the rest of the duration of draining the hatchery and your multiplier will stay maxed out. 2 seconds of tapping plus 10 seconds of holding for a less RSI inducing big multiplier bonus.

It's definitely a game that just starts to click with you after an hour or two of game play.

There is no direct route you need to take, so you just pick a path, pursue it to the end or til a point where you need a specific item to progress then mark it in your plans and forget about it while you pursue another path.

You can be a jack of all trades or just focus all in one skill.

You pay no attention to all the trinkets and items you get at all unless they are equippable.

I got a bit put off when i saw that some quest lines needed like 500 of X item, but turns out you rack up items faster than you'll know what to do with them. Certain paths, when followed to completion give you HUGE stat gains and hundreds of items as a reward.

Basically it's serving as a nice little distraction for 10-20 mins every few hours, and as it doesn't seem to have a steep progression like other play and wait games i haven't found it quite as grindy even if you do have to repeat certain actions half a dozen times.

The tutorial needs a little work, i figured things out quickly enough by comparing to Egg Inc. but your average casual mobile gamer might be a bit lost.

And i'm still a bit lost on what 'services' are, i had a bunch of blue buildings and upgraded the thing that said 'services produce X% more' but my $/sec didn't change at all.

It's definitely fun, i'm hitting a wall around city 4 for a bit, and prestige keys don't seem to be worth cashing in til you have a good 50 or more, might get bored if the curve is too steep but hopefully this is ironed out with it being in beta.
