okay fine you asked for it here it is soak 1.5 cups dry beans (black, pinto?) overnyte 1 med onion, finely chopped 1/2 - 1 bell pepper, diced a few cloves garlic 1 tsp cumin 1.5 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp thyme 1/2 tsp sage 1 tsp oreg cayenne sautee veggies, add spices at end of sautee... you can do this the night before and fridge it and have the spicy veggie mix ready to go in the morning 1/2 cup lentils (green i guess?) 1 cup dry TVP 6oz can tomato paste some black pepper 5 cups BOILING water add all to slow cooker, cook on low for 8 hrs or high for 5

It's weird you were so shocked and repulsed by alnilam's dumpster diving post when apparently all you eat is garbage... just kidding, I'm sure its good, but it just seems profoundly weird to me. like everything that goes into the chili should concentrate flavors, not dilute them into flavorless things, but i guess if you really like the texture of soft potato chunks. |

i will eat potatoes along with chili but the chili will be sans potato in the recipe. if you happen to have some baked steak fries or some sort of cut potato, dipping it in your chili is ok, as long as the primary mode of chili consumption remains directly, with a spoon paul_soccer12 posted:everyone in the idf must die |
