This one I think has less to do with homophobia, and more to do with people being immersed in a story. Marvel did it to Iceman, even though he's been a notorious for having various girlfriends, and never once had any inkling towards being gay. I think in the 40+ years he's been around there would have been SOME hint. The newest Fantastic Four did it when they made Johnny and Sue storm adopted brother and sister. Some people just like their story as it is and don't like these spontaneous changes. It happens though, unfortunately.

It may not be about money either though Ryan. It may be saving face, inclusion, oversight. Some of these are obviously more forgivable than others, like if Blizzard "forgot" to put a gay character in a game, and rewrote a story to add one, then cool, inclusion.

Oversight is probably the worst, new manager comes in with an agenda and messes up a story arc because they have the power to do so.

I just think when it's not natural, and wasn't a part of the initial process, it feels forced, and that does the movement little to no service.

Oh, and so there is no confusion, being gay is a very natural thing, which is why I'm against the very unnatural way it's forced into some mediums. Someone who's gay wouldn't just one day be like "I'm gay come kiss me boys/girls". That shows a very distinct lack of awareness and a lack of respect. Take from this what you will.

honestly this is probably the part in the game that freaked me out the most

other than yuri's last poem. the obvious piss stain makes it the worst

DDLC was a good game but I am honestly a bit scarred to go back and get the "best" ending, even if I kinda wanna know what the gently caress is up with natsuki other than what act 2 hints at
