Writing with pen and paper is fun and having good cursive handwriting is a good skill that most people respect. Its practical too. Taking notes by hand helps with information retention and sending an honest to god hand written letter to friends and family will make them genuinely happy. If you don't feel happier after finding a letter from somebody you care about amidst the torrent of junk mail that fills your mailbox then there is something broken in you. Writing in a physical rather than electronic journal is another good thing to do. Keeping a journal while traveling or just day to day gives you something valuable to look back on later in life. Writing instruments are cool too. Fountain pens in particular are stylish and make a good impression on others in much the same way a high quality watch does.

Also, whats with the burger purists in here? Part of the joy of burgers is the endless variety of toppings.

I wish I could look down on the oily, tattoo'd hipsters in the pictures here but their type are some of the only generally happy people I know. So maybe there is something to be said for whatever the hell it is they're doing. Probably has something to do with them developing a sense of community and belonging rather than the cynical isolation that nerdy mooks like me exist with.
