mm I reboot maybe once or twice a month and with my ssd it's like <20 seconds or so? shittingn doen always takes longer

win 10 will do right by you, then. win+q (and win+s i suppose) will call up the search directly, but you can still start typign from start. be sure to turn off cortana and web searching, though
