95% of the apps i use are on the start bar thing and the others i get by windows key and type

ive got this w7 usage down tite

win 10 will do right by you, then. win+q (and win+s i suppose) will call up the search directly, but you can still start typign from start. be sure to turn off cortana and web searching, though
