Goddamn, that was some good poo poo. I'm really enjoying happy Oliver, and McDonough absolutely crushed it. I kinda expected the Green Arrow line to just be some one-off from Darhk, but man Oliver brought it out himself right out the gate and that is so much better. I am so happy this show is back.

Ray is unambiguously alive. There was a scene at the end of last season - perhaps the very last scene - where there's a giant explosion, then you see that Ray is tiny. The cast thinks he's dead because there was that explosion and he disappeared, but he absolutely is alive.

Rhyno posted:I don't think they showed him as being tiny in the finale, that was in the LoT teaser. I might have mixed them up, yeah. I thought that was in the show proper, but you might be right.

I like to think he didn't try password precisely because it's so weak. All in all, that was an incredible episode and I'm really looking forward to next week's.

howe_sam posted:Everyone who wants Oliver to be a socialist crusader did notice the number of times whatshisname called the plan to restore the bay "crunchy hippy-dippy" right? Yeah, calling it a "hippy crunchy program" immediately piqued my interest. Leftist Ollie is definitely a thing that I want to see. This episode was really good, again. This season is firing on all cylinders and I couldn't be happier.

Man, that was an excellent episode of the show. I especially love the shark. It just shows up and bites Ollie offscreen, what an amazingly goofy thing. Neal McDonough continues to be perfect in his role, and Barrowman was amazing this week, too.Neon Knight posted:What is the timeline on the flashforward to the grave? Since the first episode aired October 7th, the flashforward takes place right around April.

Bruceski posted:I had to get the door RIGHT at the end of the episode, and CW's website makes you sit through every commercial to see the end of an episode. Last line I heard was "3 on the Glasgow scale", did I miss anything after that? Nyssa showed up in the hospital room. She offered to give the Lotus to Ollie (which I guess can save Thea somehow) in exchange for him killing Merlyn.

computer parts posted:And the annoying part is that he probably won't tell Malcolm despite him being ready to fall on his own sword for his daughter. Given the way the rest of this season has gone so far, I agree, that second option is probably going to happen. It fits the trajectory of the season perfectly.

I'm glad they're bringing the William thing into the open, but I really dread the fallout from this. This show really doesn't need to get back into bullshit relationship drama.Hollismason posted:Wait is Amanda Waller not in the show anymore? She is very dead.

Just checked out the preview for next month's return episode, and Cupid's back. That'll be fun!

Cupid was really fun, I wish she was a larger focus of the episode.

Longbaugh01 posted:Yep. Pretty sure it was that one. Shorter than I remembered. And I also miss those days. The first time Ollie just straight out killed a criminal I was like "gently caress. Ok. This isn't going to be like Smallville at all." Welp. I mean not that Arrow is as bad as Smallville, ever, but I don't remember Ollicity-type poo poo in the first season. Then you do not remember the Laurel stuff in S1.
