Level 9 Enchantment/Transmutation - Body Swap: If the target doesn't resist, you swap bodies with the target. You have the targets HP, stats and equipment. All enemies are confused. Your old body is confused and hostile. After X number of turns, you return to your old form as if polymorph has ended.

This means that, if you killed your old body, you can actually eat yourself.

In an older version I fought a lone goblin who just would not go down, until I finally killed him and he dropped the +9 armour of the Dragon King

once upon a time, monsters that could use weapons or wear armor would pick up weapons/armor off the floor if it looked better than what they had. This led to lots of shuttling good/dangerous items to already cleared floors or to branch entrances, so that random spawns wouldn't suddenly be kitted out in all the most dangerous loot from (dead) enemies on the floor.

I have a solution!

Amulets of Evolution.

chin up everything sucks
Jan 29, 2012

seriously, if Amulets of rMut are considered to be boring, then lets make it interesting. Amulets or Rings of Evolution. They could do a few different things.

1) cause purple chunks to weigh slightly more in favor of good muts
2) give a chance to randomly cause mutations as per the Evolution mutation
3) cause all muts to individually have a chance to reroll every so often, with malmutes having a slightly higher chance to reroll, but an even chance of the reroll being good or bad
4) some combination of the above
5) something else weird and wacky and awesome

Removal of the ring/amulet causes you to gain a random malmut.

I would also like to see a Uranium Ring or Uranium Amulet, that causes you to constantly gain a small amount of contam (as opposed to slowly losing it as normal), but you have a radiation aura that mutates/contams enemies that are nearby. Also, you glow, so it's hard to hide.

chin up everything sucks
Jan 29, 2012

contamination as penalty is boring in and of itself, and too many other amulets already penalize you with contamination. We need more variety.

chin up everything sucks
Jan 29, 2012

Better idea

Amulet of Evolution: once worn for enough turns, the amulet melds with your body and you gain Evolution at the highest level. Removing the amulet resets how long you need to wear it. Having any form of rMut (either mutation or one of the randarts) will increase the number of turns required for it to take effect.
