Yea if this is gonna be focused on foreign policy Bernie's gonna look real bad, if he gets stomped out two debates in a row that's not gonna be good for him.

That'd be really stupid to do though? What's with people pretending Clinton is a hair's trigger away from ripping off her human mask and revealing she's actually Hitler's reptilian clone while cackling madly?

I doubt anyone's going to give a solid answer beyond shifting it into a more broad topic of 'yea there are people out there who probably want to murder most of us in the west, here's my plan to keep that from being a thing' but Bernie is real bad at talking foreign policy even in the nebulous sense. It's not good for either campaign but it's especially not good for his.

Wasn't there some poster here or in D&D before this subforum saying the debates being on saturday was a conspiracy by Clinton and DWS to rob poor Bernie?

Honestly if I was Sanders and O'Malley I'd put up with maybe 45 minutes of it and if they're just going to keep going with the tragedy-sploitation, get the gently caress outta there. Yea no one cares how a future president would respond to an event like this or their foreign policy ideals, fuckin idiots.

Don't be surprised if it sticks around. I adore that you can't even fathom why 'the media' wouldn't be super jazzed about a campaign having a tantrum and forcing a debate to change to what they want. Like, not event he republicans' pissfests could make their debate shift that much but suddenly Sanders' smug little dude has a meltdown and things change?

Valentin posted:Oh, I think that this is actually bad policy in addition to being bad optics, and covering it is 100% understandable. I just mean that it probably won't get dropped not just because it's noteworthy, but because the media enjoys being outraged. But honestly I can't see how the number 2 Democratic candidate having a tantrum until a debate changes isn't noteworthy. Like it's not Watergate 2 or whatever, but especially from the dude who's all up in changing the culture and all behaving this way should be really embarassing. Dead Cosmonaut posted:In other words, let's talk about pure hatred, racism, and xenophobia tonight. These are all constructive, helpful discussions to the Democratic party TYOL 2015. I Am A Robot posted:It might turn out to be newsworthy but it shouldn't be for the same reason no one should give a gently caress about Hillary's emails or Ben Carson lying about stabbing some dude. But this tantrum happened because Bernie's campaign knows he has a huge weakness in foreign policy. That's why it's noteworthy, he basically was saying 'hey hey hey wait, I'm no good at this, you can't ask me a bunch of questions about it!'
